Advent Air Conditioners like part # ACM135 come with a connector that pairs up directly with the standard 6-wire connector. If you have a 9-wire connector then you need the kit # ACRG15 as well.

It appears you are connecting your tow vehicle wiring to a 6-way connection like the RoadMaster 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Kit # RM-146. Making these connections is not difficult and I've attached a video and photo as well as linked an article to assist with these connections.

Yes you are correct. The brown wire of the attached diagram is a "ground" activated circuit. So when the door is closed the switch allows the ground to complete and the step is activated. Then when it's open and the ground is broken the switch loses the ground which tells the step to activate in reverse. view full answer...
