You need to measure from the center of one eye of the leaf spring to the center of the other to get the proper length. However, since yours are flat, they have stretched quite a bit. So, an accurate measurement will be difficult. You are correct that the Fulton A60 surge brake actuator is a discontinued part, and that you will need to replace the entire unit.
I recommend the Titan Zinc-Plated Brake Actuator # T43397007K which will work with the 3" wide tongue on your trailer, and will allow you to use a 1-7/8", 2", or 50mm hitch ball. This actuator is for drum brakes and for trailers weighing up to 7000lbs.
If you do not have free backing brakes and need a reverse lockout solenoid you can use # T4748800.

I may have a solution for you, but we do not have a direct OEM style replacement shock for the 2006 Chevy Avalanche. However, you may be able to use the Hopkins EasyLift Truck Bed Tailgate Lift Assist # 74211 in place of the broken shock. This has been confirmed to work with GMC and Chevy trucks, so it should work on an Avalanche just the same.

I did a little research and found that your 2003 Venture Boat trailer model 2250 has a capacity of 2,250 pounds but the 6-lug hubs and bearing information I found indicate that it uses hubs normally seen on 5,200 pound axles.

There are three possibilities for a replacement and one is no longer available. If the continuous hinge on the damaged cover is metal, and the lever used to operate the lid is in the center of the vent instead of along the edge, you'd use the # BV0554-01 for white or # BV0554-03 for smoke.

The replacement hub/drum you mentioned, part # 8-201-5UC3 is rated for a 5200 lb axle (a de-rated 6000 lb axle). That particular hub/drum is compatible with a 25580 inner and a LM67048 outer wheel bearing. If your axle is indeed rated for 6K and uses a 25580 inner and 15123 outer wheel bearing. If that's the case, you'd need the # 8-201-9UC3-EZ hub/drum. The different outer bearing is what de-rates the hub.
