I recommend using the Konig Easy Fit Tire Chains on your 2024 Honda HR-V. These are my favorite chains because of how easy they are to install and since it is always cold and snowy/ice when you need to install them it only makes sense to get them on as quickly as possible and get back inside your warm car. You will need either the Chains # TH04115103 if you have the 215/60R17 tires or the Chains # TH04115104 if you have 225/55R18 tires. view full answer...
With your 29er, the Swagman Titan 2-Bike Rack for 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Tilting # S63400 you asked about will work well be the best option for the price point and features. It will give you the ground clearance you need even with the large tires. It sounds like you have a step-thru frame, so using a bike adapter like the Swagman Deluxe Bike Frame Adapter Bar for Women's, Children's, and Alternative Frame Bikes # 64005 or the Yakima Tube Top # Y02531 you mentioned will be needed to... view full answer...
For your 2017 Honda HR-V we have the EcoHitch 2" receiver hitch # 306-X7322 that you can use with your 4-bike rack as long as you stay under the 300-pound tongue limit when you add the weight of the bike rack and the weight of the bikes. This should not be a problem. Check out the review and installation video I attached for more info.
The other hitch available for your HR-V, the Curt # C11416, is a class I with a 1-1/4" opening. It would only allow you to carry 2 bikes even if the... view full answer...
I definitely have a great option for you, however as you may have already seen, there isn't a 3-bike trunk rack available from Thule that's confirmed to fit your 2016 Honda HR-V. This most likely has less to do with physical fit and more to do with the fact that Thule has determined an extra bike further away from the vehicle simply adds too much leverage with regards to the way their carriers mount to the HR-V.
I did check with Yakima though and found a few 3-bike racks from them that... view full answer...
The strongest trailer hitch receiver that is available for your 2016 Honda HR-V is the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - 2" # 306-X7322, It has a 300-lb Tongue Weight (TW) capacity. Since your Honda Grom is 225 lbs, you could use the 58 lb etrailer Motorcycle Carrier # e98873 and be within the tongue weight limit of 300 lbs. My research shows that your 2016 Honda HR-V also has a vehicle tongue weight limit, but you will need to verify this with your owner's manual,... view full answer...
The Kuat NV 2.0 Base 4-Bike Platform Rack like part # BA22B-BA02B is only offered for 2" hitches. There are separate adapters that allow a 2" bike rack to be used in a 1-1/4" hitch but these cut the capacity of the trailer hitch in half which will not leave you with enough left for a bike rack and four bikes.
I know this is not your first choice but the best and really only option to use the Kuat NV 2.0 Base 4-Bike Platform Rack which is an excellent choice would be to switch to a 2"... view full answer...
We've found that there are a lot of vehicles out there that aren't rated for towing by their manufacturer yet people choose to ignore that at their own risk and do so anyway. We offer hitches for vehicles in situations like this since there is a demand for them like for your 2016 Honda HR-V. The EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - 2" # 306-X7322 is a confirmed fit for your vehicle and would most likely be okay to tow a very light weight jet ski trailer but we can't speak... view full answer...
Thule did completely change their roof rack designs recently so there definitely isn't a way to adapt your old rack to fit your 2019 Honda HR-V with flush rails. The Rhino Rack RVP roof rack part # RR55QJ is a confirmed fit for your vehicle though and would be a great option unless you wanted an assisted board carrier like you mentioned. Assisted carriers need a rack that has bars that overhang past the feet of the rack like with the Rhino Rack roof rack part numbers # RRVA118S-2, # RRRCL4,... view full answer...
For your 2017 Honda HR-V, I recommend the Curt Class I Hitch, part # C11416. This has a 1-1/4" receiver with a tongue weight capacity of 200 pounds and a towing capacity of 2000 pounds. I've linked to a video installation of this hitch for you to reference.
The Rad Rover e-bikes tend to weigh quite a bit, so you may have to take the batteries off to lower the weight in order to use it with the bike rack. With that in mind, you need a bike rack that can not only handle the weight, but won't... view full answer...
I checked with Thule and the only square bar length they can confirm as a fit for your 2020 Honda HR-V with flush rails is 47 inches long with the part # TH712200. The mounting tracks that run along the bottom of the crossbars would not be long enough to allow a 60 inch bar to fit.
The other components needed for this rack to fit are the feet kit part # TH460R and the fit kit part # THKIT4067. view full answer...
To find a local installer, use the link on the product page for the # 306-X7322 hitch.
The ecoHitch # 306-X7322 hitch you'd looked at has a tongue weight capacity of 300 lbs, which means that the combined weight of the bikes plus the weight of the rack used to carry them cannot exceed the 300 lbs. A hitch like this # 306-X7322 is capable of handling 2- 75lb bikes plus a carrier that would likely weigh more than 50 lbs.
These kind of carriers are compatible with a 2 inch receiver, like... view full answer...

If you have the proper wiring installed on your 2016 Mercedes Sprinter the Roadmaster Diode kit part # RM-15247 would work great. This kit has been tested as a solution for your 2016 Honda HR-V so it will work great.
For wiring on the Sprinter you need to start with the part # 119250KIT to give you a 4-way and then to convert it to a 7-way you would need the part # 37185.
The circuit you would need to use on the HR-V for the wiring is the one that has the running light and turn signals. view full answer...
The great news is that the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - 2" # 306-X7322 is a confirmed fit for your 2016 Honda HR-V. Since this is a 2" receiver, you will not need an adapter and it has a generous 300 pound tongue weight capacity.

For your 2016 Honda HR-V we have the Rhino Rack roof rack part numbers # RRVA118B-2, # RRRLKVA, and # DK454 which is a confirmed fit and would work well. I really like the Rhino Rack roof racks as they are higher quality than most but not quite as expensive as similar racks.
Then for a paddleboard carrier the Thule SUP Taxi part # TH810001 would fit and work well. You may have to position the board and carrier to either side of the antenna but this would still work great. view full answer...
I have a great roof rack solution for you. Unfortunately, through my research on your 2022 Honda HRV, I could not confirm the purpose for the 8 rubber plugs in the side of your flush rails. However, the slots on top are tabs that can be removed to access the fixed mounting points in the rails to attach roof rack systems.
For the best roof rack system for your vehicle that attaches directly to the fixed mounting points, I recommend the following parts:
- Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars... view full answer...
The Thule Camber 2 Bike Rack part # TH9058 is designed to work with both the 2" and 1-1/4" hitches. It is possible that a ball mount like the Curt Fusion Ball Mount for 2" Hitches part # C45155 is currently installed into the hitch and will need to be removed before installing the bike rack. To do this there is a pin and clip holding it. Pull the clip then the pin and the ball mount will slide out allowing you to then install the rack.

For your 2022 Honda HR-V I recommend the Rhino-Rack RVP Roof Rack # RR55QJ. This rack allows you to mount directly to your side rails on your roof. The feet already include matching locks to secure them to your roof and the design gives you a clean factory look without the crossbars sticking past the feet. The elliptical design helps to reduce wind noise and the integrated channel provides additional mounting points for several accessories. view full answer...
