Recommended 3-Bike Trunk Rack for 2016 Honda HR-V

Hi I have a 2016 Honda HRV, and based in South Africa, I am struggling to find compatible bike carriers 3-bike. Thule is the most widely available brand Yakima is very expensive. Can you advise which Thule trunk rack would fit my vehicle? Thanks

I definitely have a great option for you, however as you may have already seen, there isn't a 3-bike trunk rack available from Thule that's confirmed to fit your 2016 Honda HR-V. This most likely has less to do with physical fit and more to do with the fact that Thule has determined an extra bike further away from the vehicle simply adds too much leverage with regards to the way their carriers mount to the HR-V.

I did check with Yakima though and found a few 3-bike racks from them that will fit and work well. I specifically recommend the FullBack 3 # Y02633, which represents a really high-quality carrier at a reasonable price. Locks are also included with this particular model so they won't have to be purchased separately like with most Thule options, saving you some expense in that area.

The FullBack uses soft SuperCush anti-sway cradles with ratcheting ZipStrips to hold the bikes at 3 different points that creates a safe and stable ride during travel. With 3 bikes on this vehicle the rack has a total weight capacity of 90 pounds.
