Yes, you can use the video out cable from the Swift Hitch Wireless Camera System, # 04928, to use a larger video display. I tested this on an 80 inch LED TV at our offices here and it will work. The resolution does not improve, but the video quality is still very good. As long as your 12 volt DVD monitor has the RCA video input, then this will work.
Since you also plan on using this on a skid-steer, I recommend mounting the camera as high above the engine compartment as possible and mount... view full answer...
There is no way to determine the amount of compression of the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System, item # TGMC10A, because the condition of your vehicles suspension, the actual weight of the load placed on the trailer tongue and the weight of any items in the bed of your truck would contribute to more or less compression.
I can tell you that the Timbren systems work very well, I have a similar system on my truck, and that the rubber springs compress progressively less and more weight... view full answer...
It's hard to tell from the photo but it looks as if you may have the brackets facing the wrong direction. The side bracket will need to be installed so that the end with the clamp is facing the rear of the vehicle. It looks like you have them positioned opposite of that now so you should be able to just flip them around so that the clamp can clear the bump stop support bracket. If this is not the case then please just let me know and I will see what I can do to help further. view full answer...
The Replacement 12-Volt DC Fan Motor, # BVD0218-00, is a replacement for specific Ventline Ventadome or Vanair RV roof vents. The specific model numbers are V2094, V2119 and VP-543. If you have a different model this motor will not be compatible.
The rectangular metal piece you see in the pictures is actually a drill template for the existing motor mounting bracket because the holes needed by the old motor will not match up with ones needed by the new motor.

GM did not install a brake controller adapter port in the C/K series pick up trucks, so there are no plug-in adapters that will allow you to install a brake controller without having to run wires.
If you already have 7-way connector at the rear of your truck, then you could use wiring kit # 5506. This kit includes a duplex wire to run a brake output circuit from the brake controller to your 7-way and to run a wire from the brake controller to the battery (via the circuit breaker) and then... view full answer...
When installing a brake controller in your 1995 GMC Pickup, the red wire will connect to the brake light circuit which can be located at the stop light switch at the top of the brake pedal. Since there is typically more than one wire at the switch, you will need to use a circuit tester like part # PTW2993, to determine which wire has power when the brake pedal is depressed. GM typically used a light blue or white wire for this circuit. Once you have located this wire, you will then tap... view full answer...
The Reese Universal 5th Wheel Base Rail Kit # RP30035 is the correct install kit for both long and short bed versions of your truck. Since this is a universal-fit kit intended to work with a broad range of vehicles there will be some variances in how the L-brackets fit.
My contact at Reese confirmed that this kit is a correct fit for your truck.
If your truck has a body lift of any amount this will affect the effective length of the brackets where they attach to the frame and truck bed. view full answer...
You asked a good question. No, electric drum brake magnets are non-polarized, meaning that either of the two leads can be used for grounding to the trailer frame or for connection to the trailer brake controller circuit. This is why brake assemblies and replacement magnets have the same wire color for both leads.
You'll want to use 10-gauge wiring for connecting the brake assemblies to the trailer's brake circuit.
We offer part # 10-1-1 which is sold by the foot. view full answer...

While your 1978 GMC truck is a bit older it does use a standard alternator like what the Redarc Smart Start Battery Isolator with Wiring Kit # 331-SBI12KIT was designed to work with so it would work great for you. view full answer...
While the circuit tester is truly the only way to find the correct wire for you to install the Curt TriFlex Trailer Brake Controller # C24VV with Wiring Adapter # C51515 on your 1992 GMC Sierra, what I can tell you is that when we installed this same controller in a '94 Chevy C/K, which will be similar to your truck, the wire was yellow, as you can see by the linked installation video.
That said, wire colors are not universal and vary from year to year and manufacturer so yours very well... view full answer...
We have put together a kit that includes all the parts you will need to set up the rear wiring for a 7-Way and prepare the truck to install a brake controller. The kit is part # ETBC7. It will utilize the 4-Way that is already installed and then you will run the included length of 2-Wire up to the front to connect to the brake controller and the the battery for 12V power using the blue and black leads. The purple lead is for reverse lights, if needed, and the white is for ground.

What you will want to do is test each of those wires with the headlights and turn signals on, one at a time. If one of the wires shows power with the headlights or turn signals on then it is not the correct wire. You need the one that is hot only with the brake pressed and not with the headlights or turn signals on.
In the event that neither of those wires is correct and you cannot find one that is at the brake switch, then you can find the stop light or CHMSL fuse and tap into it to connect... view full answer...
To wire the 4-Way round to 7-Way blade wiring adapter, item # 37185, on your 1989 GMC CK series pickup you will need to plug the existing 4-Way connector into the 4-way connector provided at the rear of the # 37185 connector and then hard wire the remaining 4 wires. If you do not have an existing 4-Way connector you will need to install one with the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4 Pole Trailer Connector, item # 118315.

The 1994 Chevrolet 1500 pickup is the closest vehicle we have installed a brake controller on in our shop to your 1990 GMC 1500. When we installed the Curt Triflex # C24VV with the Adapter # C51515 and Install Kit # ETBC7 as seen in the video linked below we found the yellow wire form the brake switch as the wire for connecting to the red wire on the brake controller. While I can't say for sure this is going to be the exact same on your GMC it should help you confirm the correct wire with... view full answer...
A 5-way to 7-way adapter is not offered. The best way to proceed would be to install the 7-way connector on your truck, and if you should need to tow a boat trailer in the future, use a 7-way to 5-way adapter, such as part # A75TB.
In order to utilize the electric brakes on your trailer with the 7-way connector, you will need to install a brake controller to actuate them. I would recommend a proportional controller, such as the Tekonsha Prodigy P2, part # 90885. As the 1998 GMC trucks... view full answer...
