Can I use a Larger Video Display for the Swift Hitch Wireless Backup Camera System # 04928
Question:
Can I use the video out cable on the receiver to hook this system up to a larger video display? Will a larger monitor still provide a sharp image? I want to use the system in the truck for hooking up trailers as well as for a backup camera in a skidsteer. Will a 12V DVD or televsion monitor work? Can I safely assume that those units will all accommodate the RCA connector?Thank you!

Yes, you can use the video out cable from the Swift Hitch Wireless Camera System, # 04928, to use a larger video display. I tested this on an 80 inch LED TV at our offices here and it will work. The resolution does not improve, but the video quality is still very good. As long as your 12 volt DVD monitor has the RCA video input, then this will work.
Since you also plan on using this on a skid-steer, I recommend mounting the camera as high above the engine compartment as possible and mount the display as high in the cab as possible. This will ensure the least amount of interference from components on the skid-steer.
