Most likely the Reese M5 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # RP68FR was tested to that capacity and they just never went higher since the 6,400lb capacity is above the pin weight capacity of the truck that would use it. I reached out to Firestone, who was able to give me the heights of the various 7 inch diameter 2-gallon, 3-gallon, and 5-gallon air tanks, measured from the bottom of the mounting brackets to the top of the air tank.
They said that each of these 7 inch diameter tanks measured 8 inches tall:

I can confirm that difference between the # BWRVK3300 and the # BWRVK3305 is not the head and is the construction of the base of the hitch, which is where you get the difference in capacities between the two hitches. Although a 5th wheel hitch rated for 20K can tow up to 20K we highly recommend using a 5th wheel hitch that is rated about 1K - 2K over the GVWR of your 5th wheel trailer. This gives you a safety margin and will help keep your hitch from prematurely wearing down from normal use. The only time you would be able to safely use the 20K hitch is if you didn't load your trailer up to the 20K capacity.

On the Morryde pin box you referenced # MR24VR that you referenced it measures 25-5/8 inches from the center of the king pin back to the rear mounting holes. Since the rear mounting holes are right at about an inch from the rear of the pin box you'd have the clearance you are needing since you said you needed less than 30 inches. view full answer...

The B and W Companion Hitch for Ford OEM rail kits part # BWRVK3300 does fit the rail kit of your 2021 Ford F-450. I'd suspect you might have to lower the hitch head height but it really just depends. I doubt your 350's suspension was sagging much with the weight of the trailer on the hitch but the 450 would sag even less so it would most likely sit taller. But you also would want to measure the height from the top of the truck bed to the ground for both trucks and compare the heights there... view full answer...
