  • Troubleshooting A Clicking Sound From An Everchill RV Refrigerator
  • The clicking noise could possibly be coming from the condenser/compressor relay in your # EV97FR. This is typically caused by a rise in temperature due to the compressor working harder than normal or just overheating due to dust build up clogging the airflow. I recommend taking the lower rear panel off and vacuuming out any dust you find and cleaning the panel as well to ensure proper air flow. You may also need to keep the fridge sitting further out from the wall to maintain proper air...

  • Troubleshooting Lost Power on a 1993 Fleetwood Limited RV Outlet with Generator
  • From the sounds of the issue, there does not appear to be a problem with the controller or the converter. In order to find the cause of the issue, the best way to proceed is to plug into a shore power source and trace the wires all the way to the outlet that has no power. This sometimes is the case when an aftermarket generator is added to an older model RV like your 1993 Fleetwood Limited. You can test the wiring trail throughout to test to see if there are any shorts with a circuit tester...

  • Troubleshooting Kwikee 26 Series Steps That Wont Close But Make a Clicking Sound
  • If your Kwikee steps aren't retracting but are making a clicking noise, the motor is most likely going bad and will need to be replaced. I recommend using the Motor Upgrade Kit for Kwikee 26 Series Electric RV Steps # LC379801 to replace all of the parts on this step (motor, linkage, control unit, switch kit, and hardware) since this step is at least 20 years old; this kit will give basically replace everything except the step frame and give you a set of steps that is as good as new. If...

  • Interior Lights Are Not Working
  • For just one side of your interior lights not working, it is likely a damaged wire or maybe a switch that is connecting the lights on one side has failed. You'll need to test the wires coming out of your switches with Circuit Tester # PTW2979. If the switch is bad and needs to be replaced I have added a link below to our selection of rocker switches for you.

  • What Causes Linkage Arm on Kwikee Step 151332 To Break
  • The broken step arm can be caused by more than one issue but the control module simply tells the step when to function. The motor however is a resistant motor so if working correct would stop when too much pressure or force is being applied. I suggest an upgrade kit to fix the issue, the Motor Upgrade Kit for Kwikee Electric RV Steps part # LC379145.

  • Can Maps, Music and Phone Calls be Made when Curt Echo Mobile Brake Controller is in Use
  • You can still use the Curt Echo Mobile brake controller part # C51180 with music playing from the phone or using it for maps. It can also make and receive phone calls as well. The reason there's a note that says it may not be ideal for if you use maps or play music from your phone is because you'd be switching between apps. The Echo can run in background though while other apps are in use.

  • Troubleshooting Furrion Tankless Water Heater Issues
  • If your Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater - Gas - Automatic Pilot - 60,000 BTU Item # FR93FR is coming on and then kicking off you could have an electrical, gas, or water pressure issue. The unit needs to have 12v DC running to it so you'll want to check that with a voltage tester. If it doesn't you may have a voltage drop off and need a thicker gauge of wire depending on the distance your wire travels. The unit needs 11 ” WCI min - 14” WCI max. Have an RV dealership or licensed technician...

  • Wiring a Pollak 7-Way Connector on a Fleetwood RV
  • I believe that your problem is the color of the wiring itself. Although there are standards out there, sometimes vehicle manufacturers use different color wiring for different functions which ends up throwing people off when they are trying to install a connector like what you are doing with the Pollak # PK12-707E. Try taking a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 or a multimeter like part # PTW1714 and test the functions of each wire on your Fleetwood. For example, use one of your turn...

  • How to Reset Trailer Auto-Leveling Jack System
  • You can try a reset of your powered landing gear setup to see if that clears the malfunction. The way to do this is simply to completely disconnect the system from its power source. Once this is done it is best to let the system remain totally off and disconnected for at least 15-minutes. I also suggest disconnecting the individual jacks from the controller. If that does not correct the issue and let your jacks retract then you'll want to note the part and serial number from your controller....

  • Kwikee 32 Series Steps Will Not Automatically Retract when Driving
  • Something is miswired or shorting for sure. Definitely don't want to have the steps out while moving! I have included some pictures that should help. Do your steps operate with a manual override switch? If so then it is likely that switch. If the steps are supposed to lock out or unlock automatically when the ignition is turned on then it is likely the ignition wire in one of the connectors for the steps.

  • What Would Cause Roadmaster Invisibrake to Stop Building Pressure
  • I spoke with my contact at Roadmaster about the InvisiBrake # RM-8700 issue you are having and he told me that the first place to check is the vacuum line that leads to the engine. If that is kinked it will prevent it from building any pressure. He did say that if you sit for long enough the pressure will eventually bleed off.

  • Troubleshooting Prodigy P3 No Trailer Connected Error
  • The brake circuit of the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195 is on a different circuit than the lights for your trailer which is why everything else it working great but the controller is having issues. Since your note is saying that the trailer isn't connected you need to check the blue wire from the controller to make sure it's running without any issues to the back of your motorhome. You likely have this wire damaged, pinched, or exposed somewhere which is causing a misreading. If you can't...

  • Troubleshooting Removing Toad from Tow Bar with Locks Installed
  • The Roadmaster Lock Set - Hitch Lock and 2 Quick-Disconnect Padlocks # RM-304 does lock the easy disconnection points. You are correct that someone really determined to disconnect your vehicle will still be able to remove hardware and roll it away. If you are concerned about this, there are other things you can do to deter that theft. Obviously this is only an issue when you are stopped, so you can put your toad vehicle in park and even set the emergency brake making sure it is not easy...

  • In order to help troubleshoot your wiring issues, first check the connector on your RV with a circuit tester such as # PTW2979 to make sure the running lights circuit works there. If so, then check the ground wire connection on the new 6-way connector you installed. • How to Test Motor and Control Module for Lippert Kwikee Electric Steps
  • In order to test the motor on what I assume are set of Lippert Kwikee Electric Steps, you will first want to sever the yellow and red wires on the motor. Once you do this you will then need to obtain access to a 12 volt power source you know functions. If you take the red wire and place it on the direct 12 volt power source while grounding the yellow wire, the step should then either extend or retract. If you switch the wire leads, yellow to power and red to ground then the step will go...
