  • How to Identify the Tail Light Wires on a 2012 Fiat 500
  • If you are talking about a wiring harness for the 2012 Fiat 500 to tow a trailer, then you should be using # 118546 which just plugs in line with the vehicle wiring. See instructions link. But if you are talking about a system to flat tow the 500 then you will need to use a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to test the wiring to determine the functions. a technician at a Fiat dealer may be able to provide you with some sort of schematic or at least tell you the color codes. However, I would...

  • Installing The Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit # RM-154 In A 2012 Fiat 500
  • To determine the wiring for your 2016 Winnebago View you can look at how the tail lights function. If the brake light also functions as your turn signal then you have combined lighting. The lighting for your 2012 Fiat 500 is wired separately so once you know what the wiring for your motorhome is you can use the corresponding wiring guide I've attached for the Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit # RM-154.

  • Roof Vent to Fit 15 Inch x 15 Inch Roof Opening
  • The 15" x 15" opening is standard for a 14" x 14" roof vent so something like the MaxxAir MaxxFan Mini Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan # MA00-04301M should fit just fine for your application (the garnish you have should measure 16" x 16"). If you'd like to try to reduce that hole a bit then there isn't a kit for that but you could try adding 1/2" shims around the opening to get the desired size.

  • How to Keep Battery Charged While Flat Towing a 2015 Fiat 500
  • Great question! From what I could find in the owner's manual for a 2015 Fiat 500 (looking both at the Recreational/Flat Towing and Emergency Towing procedures) it does look like you need to keep the steering wheel unlocked while flat towing. Since this means your ignition is on, it can very well drain your battery. I'm not sure why this isn't something that is commonly known because even some of our flat towing manufacturers don't have this info on their site. I reached out to Roadmaster...

  • What Would Cause Blue Ox Patriot Supplemental Braking System to Lock Up Trailer Brakes
  • I've spoken with Blue Ox about this issue before and they told me that in the rare situation where the Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR locks up a towed vehicle's brakes the problem is in how the Patriot is set up and not in the unit itself. She said in most cases the reason is the seat is adjusted too far forward or the arm of the system has been adjusted too far out. In very rare situations they have seen an internal A04 error code in the unit causing the system to need to be replaced entirely.

  • Installation of Curt Trailer Hitch C13171 on 2016 Fiat 500X
  • When installing the Curt Trailer Hitch # C13271 on your 2016 Fiat 500X you will not need to drill any new holes in the frame rails - metal - of the vehicle, as shown in the linked instructions. However, this hitch requires you to enlarge existing holes with a die grinder, or file. Please note the Curt hitch is going to require the use of stabilizing straps # 18050 with all non-trailer accessories such as bike racks and cargo carriers in order to maintain the warranty. I've added a link...

It is a few minutes of assembly to add a great protection to your vehicle.

  • Installation of Solera Manual Pull Style to Power Awning Conversion
  • The Solera Manual Pull Style to Power Awning Conversion Kit, Black # LC329251 will simply require changing the heads on your awning frame and then wiring the unit. • Why Is The Stop Light Switch Needed On A 2012 Fiat 500
  • I am not entirely sure I understand what you are asking. The reason that you will need to install the Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit part # RM-751455 on your 2012 Fiat 500 is because the stop light circuit goes dead while the vehicle is in tow. Since the stop light circuit goes dead while in tow there would be no way to signal the motorhome that the brakes in the vehicle are being applied by way of a supplemental braking system. Therefore, a stop light switch kit is needed. The power...

  • Installing the Roadmaster Diode Kit for Tow Bar Wiring on a 2014 Fiat Pop
  • The Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit # RM-154 is confirmed to work on your 2014 Fiat Pop. Unfortunately we don't have a color coding for you either, but I can help you with the easiest way to figure it out. With the harness, brown goes to your running lights, green goes to your...

  • Where Should Diodes Be Placed When Installing Tow Bar Wiring On 2003 Chevrolet Tracker
  • When installing the tow bar wiring like part # 38955 on your 2003 Chevrolet Tracker, you want to install the diodes as close to the tail lights on your Tracker as you can. I have attached a link to an installation video for this wire harness on an Equinox. The vehicle may be different but you can check out the video at about the 2:20 mark and it shows how they are installing the diodes with the wiring. When installing the wiring on your Tracker you may need to use a circuit tester like...

  • Where do the Spacer Blocks Go for Curt Trailer Hitch Installation on a 2014 Fiat 500L
  • What the diagram is trying to show is that the bolt and spacer block get routed through one access hole and the bolt will stick out of the adjacent hole with the block keeping it in place. So the block and bolt head are inside the bumper with the threaded part of the bolt sticking out. The bolt and block will need to be fishwired into place by running the bolt leader through the hole the bolt will eventually stick out of and then out through an access hole. You will then put the block...

  • Why Doesnt Reese Friction Sway Control Kit # 83660 Allow Backing Up
  • When using friction-style sway control like the Reese, # 83660, it is recommended that you remove the sway control before backing up to ease reversing and prevent damage to your system. As stated in the instructions, on some installations, damage to the sway control may occur during extremely sharp turning maneuvers. This can be checked by slowly backing vehicle into a jackknife position while someone is watching. Do not allow slide bar to contract completely (bottom out) or bumper to...
