  • Recommended Brake Controller and Wiring for 1992 Damon Challenger Motorhome
  • For your 1992 Damon Challenger, I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller # 90195. This controller is a proportional controller that will allow your trailer brakes to apply at the same time and with the same intensity as you hit the brakes in your motorhome. You will need to hard wire this controller, and I recommend using the Universal Brake Controller Wiring Kit # ETBC7. You most likely will need the some extra wire found as part # 10-2-1as well. This kit will require...

  • Is There a Baggage Door Handle for a U-Shaped Striker
  • I do have an option for you but I do not believe we have any sort of door latch that will work with the u-shaped striker you have on your trailer. As I am sure you are aware, this is not a standard design. However, what we do have for you is the Lippert Components Standard Baggage Door Latch Kit part # LC317649 which comes with the striker plate that you need. Therefore, this is what I recommend you use. It will most likely take a bit of modifying to replace the u-shaped striker with the...

  • Steering Stabilizer for 2007 Damon Daybreak
  • Since your 2007 Damon Daybreak 3276 Class A Motorhome was built on a Workhorse chassis with a GVWR of 20,500lbs you'll have a few options depending on whether or not you have an R-series or W-series Workhorse chassis: For the R-Series you'll need the Roadmaster Exact Center Steering Stabilizer w/ Custom Brackets for Class A Motorhomes # RM88RR. For the W-Series there's a further breakdown of the chassis types. For W16 and W18 you'll need the Roadmaster Exact Center Steering Stabilizer...

  • RV Ladder Solution for 2004 Damon Challenger
  • The simplest solution would be a telescoping ladder like the part # TE74FR that you referenced. This would store in your RV's storage compartment and would get pulled out and used when needed. This obviously doesn't require any installation so it's basically ready to be used as soon as you get it. For a more traditional RV ladder we have the Surco part # SP501L which permanently attaches to the rear of the RV. It will need to attach to studs on the roof and on the side wall of the RV.

  • How to Pick Out Slide Topper for 2007 Damon Astoria
  • Measuring to pick out the correct slide topper for an RV like your 2007 Damon Astoria is pretty easy. You have to measure the box width including the flange on it and you'll be set. So the Solera part # LCV000168105 that you referenced is for box widths between 74" to 79-3/4". If you can get me the box widths of all three of your slide outs I'd be happy to help you find the correct fits.

  • High Capacity Hitch Recommendation for a 1998 Damon Challenger
  • I have a solution for you, but we do not have any custom fit hitches that will fit your 1998 Damon Challenger. You will need to go with a high capacity multi-fit hitch like the # 41990 that has a 16k capacity. This is a weld on hitch that would require either the 7 inch drop brackets part # 4907 or the 16 inch brackets part # 4916. Be sure to check the owners manual of the RV for it's towing capacities as well.

  • Troubleshooting Even Brake Supplemental Braking System that Releases all Air Pressure
  • I sent this to my tech contact at Roadmaster and they responded with the following: Without any other information, it sounds to me like the quick-exhaust valve (QEV) has failed. This is located near the base (but on the side) of the air cylinder that hooks to and actuates the brake pedal. Customer can pull cover off or tip unit over on side and when he hits the test button, he can feel to see if that is indeed where the issue is. This is your part number # RM-450601-50. Depending on...

  • Can Prodigy RF Brake Controller be Installed with Tow Vehicle that Has Air Brakes
  • As long as you have electric brakes on your race car trailer the RF brake controller part # TK94FR will work well. On the RV you'd just need to have a 7-way trailer wiring harness like the # HM48480 with the turn signals all working properly and the 12 volt accessory circuit active as well.

  • How to Add Magnetic Lights to Vehicle on Tow Dolly
  • You can certainly just splice the harness from the magnetic lights to the appropriate light circuit wires on your tow dolly instead of adding a new plug on the RV. This setup would activate the magnetic lights just the same as running the wiring to the RV. To do this I recommend the Optronics # TL21RK that includes a separate 3 foot long 4-Way extension so that you can easily splice into the wires. I have attached a short video demonstration on this kit that you can check out as well.

  • Replacing a Carrier A/C Unit with an Advent Air A/C Unit
  • The Advent Air Rooftop RV Air Conditioner part # ACM135 for 13,500 Btu's or part # ACM150 for 15,000 Btu's are both available and ready for purchase. The Coleman Adapter Kit part # ACCOLKIT that you referenced is for Coleman units so it will not be needed to replace your Carrier. However, both of the above kits come with everything that is needed anyhow. The adapter kit is more or less to retain your wall thermostat which you said you do not have. There are no Advent to Carrier adapter...

  • Slide-Out Awning for Slide-Out that is 79-3/8 Inches Wide
  • If it were me I would err on the side of caution and go with the 7-1/2 foot model # LCV000163287. Otherwise you run the risk of not having enough coverage over the slide-out.
