The best place to confirm the towing capacity of your 2015 Chevy Silverado 1500 Crew Cab 4x4 with 5.3-liter V8 engine is the printed owner's manual. This will reflect the capacity of your specific pickup with the particular mix of equipment installed on it at the factory, including the 3.42 differential.
I reviewed the online trailering guide on the Chevrolet website and at most a properly-equipped 1500 can tow 12,000-lbs. But your 5.3L V8 crew cab 4x4 with 3.42 differential is shown as... view full answer...
While I can't get you the exact dimension I can help you easily determine it by taking a couple quick measurements. If you measure 8.5 inches from the lower lip fascia on the front of your 2019 Chevy Silverado Trail Boss up and out you'll know exactly where the hitch opening of the # 65082 will be and from there you can measure straight down to the ground to get the ground clearance. I checked with Thule but they do not provide any sort of lowest height setting for the Thule Xsporter Pro Adjustable Height Truck Bed Ladder Rack part # TH500XT. The reason for this is because there are not any stops so the crossbars will go as low as the bed depth will allow. This would also depend on where exactly the uprights were positioned.
I do however have the Yakima OverHaul HD Adjustable Truck Bed Ladder Rack part # Y01151-59 which is a very similar option and this does have... view full answer...
Standard interior panel thicknesses will work great with the Mounting Panel for Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller Control Knob # 331-TPSI-003. The panel you are planning to install this on I am sure is totally fine since it was designed for holding the integrated controller of the 2015 Chevy Silverado. We had a customer come back and send us a picture of this used on a similar 2014 GMC Sierra and they said it fit and worked well. I attached a photo. Redarc does not have a minimum... view full answer...
A hitch will always have an ID sticker on it listing its capacities for standard towing and towing when used with weight distribution, even an OEM hitch should have this information on it somewhere, perhaps on the back of the hitch crossbar.
The aftermarket hitches we offer for the 2020 Silverado 1500 are Class III and IV. The class III hitches like # DT42RR have a towing capacity of around 6000 lbs or 10000 lbs if used with weight distribution. The class IV hitches such as # C13393 have... view full answer...
I checked out pictures of your Grand Design Imagine 2670MK and it appears the Pro Ride Weight Distribution system part # PR97QR would fit pretty easily but there's a couple measurements you can take to know for sure. The U-bolts attach to the trailer frame at 22 inches from the center of the ball coupler back give or take 1/2 inch and the weight distribution jacks install 26 inches back from ball center give or take 1-1/2 inches. We have found that works pretty well with most trailer setups... view full answer...
The Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit for Chevy/GMC - Carbide Finish # C16400-204 will give you the industry standard rail spacing to fit most 5th wheel hitches. The standard rail slots most often use are 22 inches from front rail to rear rail on center and 20-1/2 inches wide as you can see in the attached photo of the Reese M5 # RP30928. There are some models that use the 29 inches wide slots but they will still be 22 inches front to back on center.
The distance inside to inside... view full answer...
We recommend towing a travel trailer with a weight distribution hitch (WDH) when the trailer weighs more than half of the tow vehicle's weight. The hitch evens out the trailer tongue weight (TW) load across both truck axles and it also works to control or prevent trailer sway. The linked article and video will give you good background on these systems.
The way to select a WD system is to determine the actual loaded trailer TW, with all of your usual gear and supplies in place and with... view full answer...

The Dexter Electric Trailer Brake Kit # K23-532-533-00 is for 8,000 lb axles and has a 4-bolt pattern that is 3-7/16" across and 3-5/8" vertically. They would mount to a 4-bolt brake mounting flange such as Trailer Brake Mounting Flange # 4-50, which you can see in the accompanying photo.
These brakes are self-adjusting and measure 12" diameter x 3-3/8" wide; they include the mounting bolts and hardware needed for installation.
I have added a link to a video review of the brakes and flange... view full answer...
I spoke to my contact at Curt and he informed me that the distance from the mounting surface of the Curt Front Hitch part # C31069 to the top of the receiver tube is right at 6-3/4 inches.
You will need to measure from the mounting point on your vehicle down 6-3/4 inches to determine where the hitch opening will be. For more install info check out the install instructions I attached. view full answer...
I went to the warehouse and pulled the Thule Load Bar Adapter, part # Adapt2, so that I could take the measurements you mentioned in your question. The overall length of the t-bolt is 38.9 mm. The square head measures 20 mm, the threads measure 32 mm, and the head is 3 mm thick. There are four of these t-bolts in the kit.
There are three other t-bolts included that are shorter, but have the same diameter thread and the head is also 20 mm square. The length of the threads of these t-bolts... view full answer...

The distance from the rear edge of the 5 foot 8 inch bed in your 2014 Chevy Silverado 1500 will be 25-1/8 inches. The rails are 22 inches apart measured on center, so to determine where the rear edge of the bed rail would sit you would first need to measure 25-1/8 inches from the rear of the truck bed and then measure forward an additional 22 inches. view full answer...
