How to Determine Ground Clearance With the Curt Front Hitch # C31069

Question:

From comparison of the photos for the C31069 to C31012 hitches it looks like the C31012 has a higher ground clearance than the C31069 . For the C310012 you have given a dimension of 8 3/16inch from the frame mounting plate to top of receiver tube. For the C31069, the dimension from the frame mounting plate to top of receiver tube is ??????

I spoke to my contact at Curt and he informed me that the distance from the mounting surface of the Curt Front Hitch part # C31069 to the top of the receiver tube is right at 6-3/4 inches.

You will need to measure from the mounting point on your vehicle down 6-3/4 inches to determine where the hitch opening will be. For more install info check out the install instructions I attached.
