The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11389 you found fits the 2016 Lexus IS 200t sedan. I believe you are looking for the either the Curt 1-1/4" # C12143 or 2" # C13337 receiver which fits a 2016 Lexus NX 200t as this is the only 200 version SUV I see Lexus made in 2016. Please let me know if you are looking for something different or a different vehicle entirely.
If the NX 200t is the correct vehicle the 4-Way # C56268 will allow you to connect to the lights on most small trailers you... view full answer...
You are going to need to use a cargo carrier like the Curt # C18152 as we do not have any bike racks capable of carrying an e-tricycle. This cargo carrier fits into a 2" receiver so you need these on both your RV and your flat towed car. You may need to add Auxiliary Lights # C53201 depending on your tail lights and if the view is impaired when you load your e-tricycle. view full answer...
Hey Andrew, I really like the Blue Ox base plate kits like the # BLU97XR that fits your 2021 Ford Bronco. We have found they are the easiest to use overall and just really high quality.
In addition to the base plates, you will also need a compatible tow bar, safety cables, lighting, and supplemental braking to flat tow your vehicle. One of the most popular compatible tow bars is the Blue Ox Avail # BX7420 which comes with safety cables. The coiled design helps keep the cables off of the... view full answer...
The VueSMART is compatible with newer Chevy trucks, but the Chevy/GMC trailer wiring power is just a mess, and camera systems are hit or miss on them. They don't give the full power to the running lights and 12 volt which cause all kinds of issues. Generally, an adapter will do the trick, the 7-Way Vehicle Power Adapter for Furrion RV Observation Camera # FR87PR.
This gives the right level of power to the trailer wiring, and it should be the fix you need. I can't absolutely guarantee it... view full answer...
We do have the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # DT55GR which is custom fit for your 2024 Buick Encore GX. You will want to then verify if you have LED tail lights to select the correct 4-way. The Harness # TK26VR is for models with LED tail lights while the Harness # TK58FR is for incandescent tail lights. view full answer...
It looks like you are going to need to take your 2015 Mercedes-Benz C400 4Matic to a custom fabrication shop to see if they will be able to fabricate a receiver using the Weld-On Receiver # E17. I do not see that anyone manufactures a custom fit receiver for your Mercedes.
The ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness # 119250KIT will allow you to add a 4-way flat connector without splicing into your factory tail lights. This is the connector most commonly found on small trailers and... view full answer...
Hey Melissa, I would just hardwire in a 4-way flat to your current wiring like with the part # 18252 to give you a standard 4-way in addition to the 4-way round. Trying to find the right adapter is probably going to be really difficult as it sounds like you have something somewhat unique. view full answer...
Hi Eric,
I checked with our manufacturers and the Curt trailer connector is not a fit for the 2023 Chevy Bolt EV. They don't have any wiring for this vehicle, so the only option is with a splice-in kit from Tekonsha, the Tekonsha Powered Tail Light Converter w/ 4-Way Flat Trailer Connector and Install Kit # 119147KIT. view full answer...
The Curt # C11485 you looked at only fits sedan models. Unfortunately, there are no custom-fit hitches for the 2015 Mercedes-Benz C300 Coupe. If you want to add a 2" hitch you will need to take the # E17 to a local fabricator and have them fashion a custom hitch for your vehicle. If you're using a bike rack like the Thule Epos # TH49XE it would require 4-way wiring # 119250KIT to power the lights. Most bike racks do not have lights which means wiring would not be necessary. view full answer...
Hey Pierre, it sounds like you are looking for a 4-way to 7-way trailer wiring adapter to fit your 2022 Tesla Model Y which we can help with but the Curt # C57281 is for flat towing scenarios and actually would put the wrong version of the connectors on the vehicle to match the trailer.
So what you'd want instead is the part # 37185 which does convert the 4-way to the 7-way that would work with the trailer connector. view full answer...
As there is not a custom fit wiring harness for your 2021 Tesla Model S Plaid, you are going to want to use the ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness # 119250KIT. This is a universal harness which uses sensor to detect when power goes through the wiring for the tail lights. So there is no need to splice into the factory wiring. view full answer...
Your 2007 GMC Acadia is going to need the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13424. The Receiver # 13650 you found is custom fit for a 2005-2012 Ford Escape, 2005-2011 Mercury Mariner and 2005-2011 Mazda Tribute. You can also see the mounting points are very different between the receivers so they are not going to be interchangeable.
The Curt Vehicle Wiring Harness # C56056 will give you a 4-way flat connector for most small trailers you might tow as well as Auxiliary Lights # C53201. view full answer...
Hey Carmin, thanks for reaching out!
The hitch and wiring I recommend for your 2024 Kia Sorento SX Prestige PHEV is the following:
- etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e28AR
- Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C99DR
- Mounting Brackets # 18144 and # 18136
The hitch receiver has the crosstube hidden behind the bumper so only the receiver will be visible (see attached photo) and then the T-Connector tees in behind your tail lights and draws power directly from your battery so... view full answer...
The Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118763 you looked at is designed to fit the regular and hybrid models of the 2022 Camry. In other words, this will fit your 2022 Toyota Camry XSE Hybrid. It is also the most reliable and only plug-and-play option available. The T-connector will plug into the connection points in your rear cargo area and the hot lead will run to your 12V battery. This will provide you with a 4-way to power your trailer's signal lights. view full answer...
Hey Jason, thanks for reaching out!
I highly recommend the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267 because it comes with the appropriate adapter to fit your motorhome but it also comes with the most reliable diodes we carry for any of the flat tow wiring kits. This will splice into your OEM wiring but once installed you'll only see the small 6-Way socket at the front of your 2008 Subaru Impreza. view full answer...
Hello Ted. The owners manual for the 2018 Kia Forte pretty clearly states not to use the vehicle for towing. True, we do sell a 2,000 lb rated trailer hitch, the Curt # C11368 which fits the 2018 Forte. The 2,000 lb rating is minimum weight rating for any Curt hitch, and this does not mean that the vehicle is rated for towing 2,000 lbs.
I have a 2010 Corolla with a hitch on it and it is pretty much the same as the Forte in this regard. I have only ever used the hitch for a bike rack.... view full answer...
Hey Michael,
For your 2014 Jeep Wrangler and Roadmaster Falcon 5250 tow bar I recommend the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM-521448-5. This fits with your factory bumper and you can remove the crossbar adapter on the tow bar and just switch to their direct-connect style connection.
If you haven't picked out the rest of your flat towing components then I have the following recommendations:
Tow Bar Wiring Kit: Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267.... view full answer...
Hi Les,
Certain baseplates can be compatible with multiple trim packages or models but it's always a case by case scenario. Some baseplates might have a chunk of metal that interferes with the trim of specific model or that specific model could have different attachment points than standard models.
The Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX1138 you referenced is not a fit for a Trailhawk model but Curt makes a compatible option with part # C46JR. The compatible Blue Ox baseplate (BX1136) for your... view full answer...
