The Race Ramps Trak-Jax Ramps with Stopper # RR-TJ-S will work with cars that have tires a maximum of 12" wide. It is 30" long x 12" wide x 3" tall. I've added a link to a video review of the ramp for you to take a look at. view full answer...
That's a good question; you're definitely not dumb, and it is accurate that a 6,000 lb car can be loaded using the 74" long Race Ramps Trailer Loading Assist Ramps - 7" Lift # RR-TR-7.
The reason why is the full weight of your car isn't going to be on the ramp at the same time. First the front wheels will be on and by the time the front wheels of your car are on the trailer (and off the ramps), the rear wheels will be on. So only half of the car's weight will be on the # RR-TR-7 at any... view full answer...
I have a solution for you, but the CargoSmart Arched Loading Ramps # 3483070 are going to be about 7" tall at their tallest point when laid flat on the ground. If you don't mind folding up the ramps and storing them in the rear cargo area of your Smart Car, I recommend going with the Arched Landing Ramp Set # 288-07432-2 , which fold up to a size of 45-3/4" long x 18" wide x 6" tall. You'll need to measure the area for yourself, but from what I was able to find from my research, these will... view full answer...
The Aluminum Car Hauler Ramp Set - 60" x 14-1/2" - 6,000 lbs - Qty 2, part # 288-07502, will hold a car that weighs less than 6,000 lbs.
I have included a video review link below. view full answer...
The Xtenders for Race Ramps # RR-EX-12 that you referenced have a height of 3 inches at that highest point. My contact at Race Ramps confirmed this.
Please keep in mind that these are extenders for the 56 inch Race Ramps Car Service Ramps # RR-56. The Xtenders help when you have a car with very low ground clearance so that they can load on the ramps easier. The 56 inch ramps themselves have a height of 8 inches from the ground to the part where the tire of your vehicle will rest. view full answer...
The mounting tabs of the Aluminum Car Hauler Ramp Set # 288-07501 that you referenced are the exact same width as the ramp which happens to be 14-1/2 inches. view full answer...
I checked with Race Ramps and the Race Ramps Car Lift Service Ramp part # RR-CLR-4 are 185" long total which consists of the length of all four sections combined per side. The diagram below I can confirm is indeed correct. view full answer...
The measurement on the Aluminum Car Hauler Ramp Set part # 288-07502 does not include the handle. They are 14.5" outside of ramp to outside of ramp. There is an additional 1.5" of width in the handle area getting to 16".
The handles can be removed if that will help them fit in the storage area.
I do not have anything with that type of capacity that is narrower. view full answer...
Each Car Hauler Ramp # 288-07501 weighs a little over 15 lbs. That's pretty light for the amount of weight these are rated for. That's because of the aluminum construction. view full answer...
The Aluminum Car Hauler Ramps # 288-07501 are 3-3/4" tall. The tabs that fit onto the edge of the trailer are 1" long. I've linked a photo of these dimensions for you to have a look at, as well. These ramps are designed to work at a maximum height of 12" view full answer...
The Erickson Arched Loading Ramp item # EM07441 you referenced has a 750 lbs capacity. It is sold individually so the pair would combine for a 1,500 lbs capacity. A set of these would be sufficient to load up a 1,300 lbs car.
We do have a shorter set they are the Gen-Y Hitch Aluminum Loading Ramp set item # 325-GH-R84. These have a combined 6,000 lbs capacity and are 84" long. view full answer...
I was able to verify that the weight capacity for the Aluminum Car Hauler Ramp Set # 288-07503 that you referenced is indeed 6,000 pounds (not kilograms) for the pair and 3,000 pounds per panel. The recommended maximum height of 16 inches is simply based on the manufacturer's testing to ensure that the ramp performs up to its stated limits and function.
I have attached a short video demonstration on this product that you can also check out. view full answer...
Since you have a trike the best option is a ramp like the CargoSmart part # 3483075 which is 77 inches long and 50 inches wide. It has a 1,500 lb capacity as well. The review video I attached shows the ramp demoed on a lifted truck but it will work just as well on a smaller deck height especially with the low clearance you referenced. view full answer...
The 14' long Gen-Y Hitch Aluminum Loading Ramp Set # GH34FR have a shipping weight of 188 lbs so when you take into consideration the shipping materials, these aluminum ramps are going to weigh approximately 185 lbs.
The ramps have a combined 8,000 lb capacity and attach to your trailer via a hooked end. view full answer...
The USA-made Gen-Y Aluminum Loading Ramps # 325-GH-R96 have a combined capacity of 10,000-lbs, well above your actual load of 7900-lbs, so I would expect no issues with loading your Excursion.
The ramps have 20% more capacity than you need and I would consider that a very reasonable safety margin. Each ramp weighs about 50-lbs despite their lightweight aluminum construction so that suggests that a lot of material is used in their fabrication.
I cannot comment on your original ramps since... view full answer...
I have a solution for you. As far as the load rating of the single Stallion Loading Ramp - Steel - 48" Long x 11" Wide # 288-07474, it has a weight capacity of 800 pounds. However, when you use the ramp as a pair like the 2 that come with the # 288-07474-2, the weight capacity becomes 1,600 pounds when combined.
As far as whether we have a 60-inch Stallion ramp, the only ones we carry are the Aluminum Car Hauler Ramp Set - 60" x 14-1/2" - 6,000 lbs # 288-07502 (which only come in quantities... view full answer...
I called RoadMaster and got the following weight measurements. The weight of the dolly is 545 pounds. The shipping weight is 694 pounds. I have sent an update email to have this information corrected on our site.
The trailer tongue and coupler height are fixed, they are not adjustable. A ball mount should be selected that has the proper rise or drop so that the dolly is riding level on the axle. The coupler height is 18 inches on the dolly. So you would need a ball mount that would keep... view full answer...
