Rather than disconnecting the battery by removing the ground connection I recommend installing the Roadmaster Battery Disconnect # RM-766 on your 2023 Buick Encore GX. This will allow you to Run a 12 Volt Outlet # RM-9332 for your Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR which connects to the power side of the battery disconnect. If so the circuits are already combined regardless of what you see on the vehicle taillights. If you plan to use a diode kit or bulb and socket tow bar lighting solution you will need a brake light relay like # RM-88400 when using the brake system you mentioned so that the brake lights won't override the blinkers.

I've checked through the owners manual and was unable to find any requirement on starting the vehicle when flat towing.
