Roof racks are custom fits for vehicles, and the Thule rack you mentioned is an entire kit and won't fit on your 2018 Audi Q5, although there is a rack with the same style which does. So long as you have flush-mounted rails there is a rack from Inno which has crossbars match the width of your Audi's roof:
- Inno Aero Crossbars # INXB100-108
- Inno Flush Feet for Aero Crossbars - Flush Side Rails # INXS400
- Custom Fit Kit for Inno # INTR138
For a Thule roof rack, they have a style where... view full answer...
According to my contact at Rhino Rack, their Vortex Aero Crossbar roof rack consisting of the # RRVA126B-2 crossbars and the # RRSX030 feet are a fit for all models of the 2012 Audi Q5 equipped with the factory flush roof rails running fore and aft along the sides of the roof. view full answer...
The closest thing we have to what you're wanting is the Stealth Hitches Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver w/ Towing Kit # 391AUDQ518T for your 2021 Audi Q5, and only because the hitch receiver or ball mount can be removed which leaves you with a completely clear rear bumper.
This would be ideal if you only planned on using your bike rack or towing once you get past your bad roads. Since it sounds like you'll be towing and using a bike rack while going over these bad roads you might consider... view full answer...
The Stealth Hitches Rack Receiver part # 391AUDQ518 which is a fit for a 2018 Audi Q5 will not require any cutting or trimming so long as you have the factory center knock-out panel. The 2018+ models should all have the factory center knock-out panel which will allow the hitch opening to show through without additional cutting. I spoke to my rep at Stealth Hitches to confirm this for you.
I have attached a photo to assist as well. view full answer...
We do have a trailer hitch receiver that you can install on your 2018 Audi SQ5 but unfortunately the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13331 will not fit.
Instead you want to go with the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76183 which is a Class III hitch with a 2" receiver. It has the same weight capacity, but it a slightly different design.
Let me know what you plan on using the trailer hitch for I can make additional recommendations as necessary. view full answer...
Yes, it does. I checked with the manufacturer the etrailer Hitch item # e94CR is confirmed to fit the Sportback model of the 2022 Audi Q5. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your Audi with included hardware.
If you are planning on towing you will also need a wiring harness item # 119250KIT and a ball mount kit item # C45534. view full answer...
Hopkins does indeed list wiring harness # 41155 as a fit for your 2014 Audi Q5 as long as it came with the factory tow package. If your Q5 does not have the factory tow package then you would use harness # 119250KIT and hardwire it in. view full answer...
My contact at Draw-Tite was able to confirm the fit of Class III hitch # 75940 on the 2014 Audi Q5 Hybrid. You can see the installation process on a 2017 model year Q5 in the linked video. Installation requires no drilling but does include some fascia trimming.
For a 4-pole trailer wiring harness you can use kit # 119250KIT which is shown in a second linked video.
You may also be interested in the handy ball mount kit # 989900 which includes a combination of ball mounts and hitch balls... view full answer...
I included an image from the instructions for the Draw-Tite # 75940 that will show what needs to be trimmed on your 2013 Audi Q5. This is specific for models without Fascia hitch access panel, so it should get you all squared away.
I also included an install video we did on a 2011 Q5 for you to check out. This is one that did not include that access panel so it will give you a good idea of what will need to be done. view full answer...
The Thule SnowPack Ski and Snowboard Carrier - Low Profile - Locking - 6 Skis or 4 Boards - Silver # TH7326 is compatible with the Yakima Jet Sream Crossbars like # Y00426. The Jetstream bars are 3-1/8" wide x 1" tall with T-slot dimensions of 1" wide x 1/2" tall. You will need to determine if you are using the SpeedLink Mounting Hardware or the T-slot hardware. Either options will work well for mounting your carrier to the crossbars.
If you are using the SpeedLink, the straps do need... view full answer...
For your 2018 Audi Q5 I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver Item # 76183. This is a class III hitch with a 750lbs max tongue weight and a 5000lb towing capacity. As far as the back up sensor situation we do not offer an adapter that would get a platform rack high enough that the censors would not be affected. If you were to use a hanging style rack you could add a Roadmaster High-Low Adapter Item # RM-048-10 which gives you a 10-1/4 rise and potentially get the bike... view full answer...
I checked the install instructions for the etrailer hitch # e94CR that fits your 2019 Audi Q5 and it does not require any fascia trimming. view full answer...
The 635801 Thule Force XT Extra-large Roof Mounted Cargo Carrier - 18 cu ft - Black AeroSkin # TH6358B requires 47-1/2 inches from the center of the front crossbar to the gap where the roof meets the hatch. You can simply measure from the center of your Yakima Jetstream front crossbar to the seam of your roof to confirm a fit without interference on your 2018 Audi Q5. view full answer...
I spoke to both of the trailer hitch manufacturers (Draw-Tite/Curt) that have listed a fit for your 2018 Audi Q5 and both of them stated that their trailer part # C13331 for Curt or part # 76183 for Draw-Tite will not interfere with the parking camera or collision sensors on the vehicle.
I recommend using the hitch cover part # 22282 while the hitch is not being used which will protect the inside of the receiver tube from rust. I have attached an install video of the Curt hitch for you as well. view full answer...
You do have the correct part to add the towing kit to your 2015 Audi Q5 to go with the Stealth Hitches rack receiver that fits your vehicle. The receiver and kit are the following:
- Stealth Hitches Hidden Rack Receiver # 391AUDQ509
- Towing Kit w/ Ball Mount and Trailer Wiring for Stealth Hitches Hidden Rack Receiver - 2" Ball # 391CONVR5
This kit will give you not only the ball mount but also the wiring to install a 7-way, and the 7-way is exactly what is needed in order to activate... view full answer...
We only have one hitch option still available for your 2014 Audi Q5, as the others have been discontinued. I spoke with Curt Manufacturing about their Class III # C13136 which is compatible with the TDI model Q5. The manufacturer told me that they have no information and have received no reports about the hitch interfering with the Side Assist feature. The same applies for any settings in the vehicle computer that would need changing. Your Audi dealer might be able to provide more information... view full answer...
Trailer hitches are meant to be a more permanent installation. While you can remove hitch # 75940 and reinstall it at a later date you would have to replace the mounting hardware every time because it is meant to only be torqued down once. Replacement hardware can be obtained by using # RHK and entering the hitch number and manufacturer on the RHK page.
Having the hitch there all the time certainly will not cause you any problems on your 2013 Audi Q5 but if you want something less visible... view full answer...
Whether the box is going to fit or not comes down to your crossbar spread. Crossbar spread is the measurement between the center of one crossbar to the other. If your crossbar spread is between 24 inches and 36 inches I HIGHLY recommend getting the Yakima CBX Solar Box # Y76FR. This thing is so cool! I was lucky enough to do the video on it and I really liked the look but of course having a solar panel on top is a very cool unique feature to this box specifically. You can charge your devices... view full answer...
The Curt 13499 is no longer offered but Curt manufactures all of the etrailer hitches for us so you'd be getting the same thing with the # e94CR, with the only difference being that this hitch comes with a matte black finish. The fitguide can be a bit confusing some times, but the reason for the plug-in / no plug-in clarification is because on some vehicles there are fitment differences between these models. Since the system sections the vehicle this way you'll see the same hitch twice... view full answer...
