Hey everybody, welcome to etrailer.com. I'm Bobby. And today we're taking a look at the Clear Plus winter windshield wiper blades on our 2020 Chevy traverse. Now as you can probably tell from the title, this is gonna be a great job of actually getting through that tough ice and snow that we're gonna deal with in the winter time. And as you can see with this folded kind of plastic wrapping around most of the assembly inside our wiper blades, it's gonna hold up nice to that actual intense weather conditions to see we're not getting any kind of water buildup within our frame elements. So hopefully we're not gonna have any kind of deterioration.

Feeling this, it actually looks like it's pretty thick. I don't think we're gonna have too much issue at all with this actually holding up. At least for a pretty standard amount of time and the blade on it looks pretty thick here as well. You can see it's kind of tapered off to the top there. So hopefully gonna hold up really well to that wind and that snow and ice that we're gonna get in those weather conditions.

So let's go ahead and take a quick look to get it installed. So installation is gonna be pretty quick and simple. I definitely recommend picking up a towel or some kind of foam blocks that you can actually put underneath here. As this is a spring loaded mechanism, it is a metal arm. So once we get this wiper blade off of here, we don't want this crashing down, damaging our windshield .

So let's go ahead and just go throw something underneath for protection. And this is where things might get a little different at home. Now your factory style windshield blades may have been removed already, maybe changed out. So you'll probably see there's a couple of little latches to take off. So for today all we have to do, throw this latch up.

Slide this guy down and walk it out. As you can see that's gonna expose our J style hook here. And that's actually how we're gonna be mounting our guy on here today. You can see the adapter that's been pre included here with the Clear Plus solution. We'll have a mount for it. So it's just gonna slide right between these two flanges and hook itself underneath and in position. So let's go ahead and take a look and see how that works. So we just want to get it slid up. As you can see that one's going to walk itself right into place and it's going ahead and snap in. As you can see, getting it moving around not falling off on its own. It's gonna be nice and stable for ourselves. Very easy install and we're ready to wipe. So here we are on the passenger side. Now we'll be using the 20 inch version on this side instead, but the installation can be pretty simple just like the other side. Popping that latch out, sliding that blade undone and finding the right side here. As you can see have that little blocky form. Not gonna be utilizing that side, but we do have the nice curve mounts on the inside here. And just simply sliding that into place until we hear a click. Very easy and we're ready to wipe. Here we're just simulating a little bit of rain. You can see doing a pretty good job of getting all that rain and debris off. However, this guy is more designed for winter conditions. So these can do a little bit better when we have a little bit of frost on there. So if you're looking for something to hold you up pretty well during the winter, I think this is gonna do a pretty good job for us. You can see this plastic liner doing a good job of actually hanging on there as we get it going. And it's doing a pretty decent job of actually clearing that rain from us. I think it will do probably a little bit better of a job once things get a little bit more cemented in and it's actually doing its utilization. But for what it is, I think it's doing a great job.
