Shane: Hey, guys. Shane here with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to be taking a look at. I'm going to show you how to install Scrubblade Platinum windshield wiper blades.This is what our blades are going to look like once they're installed. These are going to be the platinum design. So they're going to have a thick, rubber cover over top of the frame, is going to help protect the frame.
It's also going to cut down on when lifting the blade up. You can see how it's kind of countered here. It's going to allow the wind to go off of the blade instead of underneath it.We'll let the blade up here. We're going to look at a couple of other features. Something I really like about these, that I haven't seen on any other one, it's going to be a dual blade design.
So we had two blades. They're going to have a nano-graphite coating on them. So this is going to keep them from skipping and chattering. And you'll notice each one of these blades is going to have a raised area from one end to the other.You can see kind of that textured area there. What that is, is that's a scrubblade.
So, let's say as we're going down the road, we get some dirt on our windshield or mud on our windshield, or maybe a bug, with normal windshield wipers, what happens is, the windshield wiper kind of goes right over top of the bug splatter, and it kind of spreads it. With having a scrubber blade on each side, as the windshield wiper passes the bug, one blade is going to scrub while the other one clears the water and vice versa, as it comes back, the other blade's going to scrub as the other one clears the water. So you're getting maximum cleaning power from this setup.These are going to be all-weather blades. So they're going to work great for ensuring your windshield is clean and dry in rain, sleet, and snow.The frame is going to have pressure points from one side to the other. This is going to allow not only the blade to contour to the shape of your windshield, but it also ensures that you have optimal downward pressure from one side of the blade to the other.So if you find on some of your other blades when you're in rain, and you turn your winch wipers on, and it skips part of it, that means you're not getting optimal downward pressure on that part of the blade.
With these, you're going to have optimal downward pressure all the way across the blade. So it allows you a nice, clean, dry windshield.To start your installation, we need to remove the factory one. What I like to do is take a piece of cardboard, stick it underneath, where we're going to be working so that in case we get this off and this slips out of her hand, we don't crack her windshield. To take our factory windshield wiper blade off, you simply pop this up like that, and we'll slide our blade off.To install our new one, it's going to be the same way, flip the cap up, slide our arm inside, right up until it clicks, and then put the cap back down. We're going to repeat that process on the other side.That's going to do for a look at an installation on the Scrubblade Platinum windshield wiper blades on our 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 3500..

I just installed the "scrubblade premium" wiper blades on my vehicle. Haven't had the opportunity to actually use them yet, but I am impressed with the quality of the product, ease of installation and overall appearance. I look forward to seeing how the blades actually perform this Winter. As usual, "etrailer" was a PLEASURE to deal with and, I must say, that I have never been disappointed with the quality of any of their products that I have purchased in the past. Chevrolet Silverado
My daughter needed blades for her Silverado. I was tired of spending $40 on blades that didn’t work all that well to begin with and only had an effective life of a couple of months. I put them on her truck with the windshield covered with a heavy coat of pollen. She hit the washer and it was gone in one cycle. They even got some of the residual bug parts. At first glance the do very well. Interested to see how long they last.

They are holding out very well. There is no sign of wear. She says that they keep the windshield clean. Her only complaint is that they squeak a little in very light rain. Definitely be buying again.

Dodge Durango
Most products I've gotten from etrailer have been great, up until this product. The adapter attachment did not work for putting it onto the subaru. This made them worthless, so I ended up going to the local subaru dealer and getting wiper blades for the same cost. I was able to make the other wipers I purchased for the Durango work, but the "scrubblade" itself does not appear to do any better than a typical wiper blade. Thumbs down on this product.

the wiper works great, but the clip holding it on isn't the best design , while removing snow from windshield , I have had it come undone, so now I have to make sure its ON< when I am done removing snow, never had that with any other wiper blade in 40+ yrs of driving

I bought these because of the Michelin name, the twin blade and scrubbable design. Awesome overall quality which I believe will give wonderful service for a long time. They clean well, but they also squeak a lot. I'll probably go back to Bosch Icon blades when they become available again.

Dodge Ram Pickup
Average at best. Put a set on '18 GMC 2500 & '10 Ram 2500. Both drivers side are not good in rain. For the price they are fine but would rather pay extra & get something better. Would not purchase again.

So comments, the issue with the blades are they do not conform to the shape of the window well and so it ends up missing places specifically at the top and bottom and then they can be very noisy when it is just a mist or light rain.

This is a great product. I will say I ran into some streaking issues about 6 months in but I'm still giving 5 stars because I should have gotten the heavy duty. The bugs in the south are just a little too much for the platinum long term. But I'm going to be sticking with the brand! Before the bugpocalypse these worked perfect and were easy to install.

The Bottom 3-4 inches of the blades don't make contact with the windshield while driving. Tried changing sides and everything i could think of. They just don't work.

These worked fine for a bit but when the rains started back up this year the blades were just awful. They would move some water off the windshield but they became impossibly noisy, streaky, and could not keep up with heavy rain. I see why they were on super duper sale and they got a ride to the trash bin today. Replaced these with higher end Bosch blades and the noise, smearing, and chattering is all gone. Going to go yank the other set I bought off my old Dodge as they haven't worked worth a damn from the get go.

Thanks for reaching out - have mixed reviews. Two different shipments means a negative environmental impact. And the wiper blade (single, was thinking it was 2 blades) came in an unbelievably over-sized box. The chains, however, came appropriately packaged and look good, but haven't tested.
So I'd give the overall order a 3 out of 5.

2014 Ram 3500
I just went through the carwash with these wipers on my Ram 3500. While passing through the air dryer, it actually blew the wiper right off of the arm. I had to pull outside and go back into the car wash and retrieve my drivers' side wiper. Not accepatble
