Lumens are used to measure the amount of usable light that is put out by a light source. Raw lumens represent the number of lumens that the manufacturer claims the LEDs are capable of producing. It does not include the light's drive method or the amount of light lost from the lens or reflector. Effective lumens take these factors into account and represent the number of lumens that are actually produced by the complete light assembly, not just the amount of light that the diodes are capable of producing. Stable lumens builds off the idea of effective lumens by measuring the amount of light produced after 30 minutes of usage, or once the diodes have reached their average operating temperature. These bulbs have a 5,000 raw lumen capacity per bulb and produce 4,565 effective lumens per bulb. The stable lumen capacity per bulb is 4,033 lumens.

Ellen: Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and we're going to be taking a quick look at the LED light bulb replacement kit. This is going to come with your H7 style bulbs and also an anti flicker harness. So, the main reason why you'd want to get this kit is if you want to have a really bright replacement light for your vehicle, but you also have a vehicle that has a canvas or a PWM style electrical system. What happens in those cases is that there's just not enough current going to the light to keep it on constantly. So, it gets kind of this flickery effect and it doesn't really work properly.
So, by having this harness, we alleviate that problem. We don't have to worry about any issues with that. The easiest way to figure out if your vehicle has that kind of system is to either look in your owner's manual or also use our fit guide here at etrailer.com if you haven't already done so to find the right lights for you.So, we're going to look at some of the features of the lights themselves, and I'll show you what they look like, whatever they're illuminated. They are very, very bright. So, they're not really intended for highway use.
You can use these as high beams or for kind of off-road or rural conditions. They really work to light up the night in a very dark country night that anybody who's driven through the country you know, that it gets super dark, because there's just no other ambient light up there. So you'd need a really bright light to be able to see what's going on in front of you, make sure that there's no creatures crossing the road in front of you, or be able to see the trail and make your choices, or be able to be safe while you're out on the road. But as far as highway driving or city driving, these are probably not the best really aren't intended for that. You will blind other people and they will not be happy with you. So, I would definitely use these more for off-road use or only as high beams.
So, let's take a closer look at them. You're going to get two bulb replacements and the two harnesses. So, obviously one for either side, you also get some stuff to help attach the harnesses, some double-sided foam tape. And then also a couple of little zip ties here. There's a little place where you can use that to anchor those down instructions for the bulbs.
And you do also get instructions for the harnesses themselves and also a fun sticker, which I always like to see, stickers are kind of the best in my opinion. But anyway, so as far as the features of the lights, one of the really cool things about them is that they actually had a built in fan systems that helps to keep these lights cool. You don't have to worry about them getting overheated. Also, the design of this base has a lot of fins in it. It's made out of a little aluminum, so that helps to dissipate the heat really well. You don't have to worry about it. Getting built up of heat or a buildup of heat causing any issues with the housing around it, getting melted or anything like that. And it's also going to make sure that you don't have any premature failure of the LEDs themselves. Now, as I promised, I will hook this up to power and ground. So, I would not look at this light directly. It's going to be very, very bright. And here's my power, here's my ground. Obviously, whenever you are connecting this to your vehicle, you will be plugging it into your factory wiring. So, you won't have to do this alligator clamp trick like I am, but I have no vehicle here to plug it into. So, that's why I'm having to do it, this kind of jankydie 00:03:14 way. So, I'm going to turn the lights out in the studio and you can hear that fan going. It's already trying to cool down the system. Not that it's hot. It just, it's always going, so super bright light, definitely going to eliminate the night around. You make it very easy to see what's going on. And you can also tell that that's a nice, cool white light. So that helps to promote a better awareness, gives you a better sense of what's going on around you. And it's just a more clear, visible light spectrum, or it's just a clearer light. So it's not going to have that kind of umberly look that some other lights have, kind of the older style halogen bulbs and things like that. As far as specs with these lights, they are rated at IP 65, which basically means that they are dust proof and that they don't have any issues with water. These are rated for being sprayed with water jets. So they should be weather proof as well. You really don't have to worry about water getting in there. The housing is also going to be shock resistant. So, especially important whenever we're going off-road we want to make sure that the bumps and turns that we're taking our vehicle on are going to cause any issues. So, no worries there. You do get again, two bulbs with the two harnesses. The light output for these, is going to be 5,000 raw lumens or 4,565 effective lumens. It also is rated at 4,033 lumens are just about 4,000 lumens for the stable level or after about 30 minutes of usage. It drops down to about 4,000 lumens. So, what does all those numbers mean Basically the raw lumen output is like in a perfect world. This light has the potential of emitting this amount of light and that's with perfect conditions, no interference between the lens or anything like that. It has a potential of giving you that 5,000 lumens. That's super bright. The effective lumen output is also still really, really bright as you can see. So, it's not like you're losing anything really. The more important number is to look at the effective lumens, which is still 4,565. So 4,500 lumens, super bright. The light temperature for these is 6,500 Kelvin, which just gives you that cool white light that I was telling you about. As far as the other more detailed specs, the wattage per bulb is 43 Watts. The power draw at 13 volts is three amps per bulb, and it has an operating range between nine volts and 16 volts DC. They are covered by a two-year warranty, and that's really about all there is to it for our look at the light bulb led light bulbs and harnesses. I hope this video has been helpful. Again, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. Thanks for watching.

Get increased visibility and range from your high beams with these powerful H7 single-beam LED headlight bulbs. Xtreme series bulbs feature automotive-grade LED chips that are 5 times brighter than halogen bulbs. Plug-and-play installation. So I bought these a year and a half ago. These are the sh*t! Nice and bright with a good beam pattern. Just make sure you have a idea to cable manage with both harness with this package. It was plug n play on my 2004 Tacoma Xrta cab. Bite the bullet on the price and get them. Also so people don’t flash you every 2 seconds angle your lights a little lower. Don’t be a weenier with stupid bright lights blinding old lady’s.
Great lights. I have tried the cheap ones with no luck. These are the best by far.
The system works great and improves my night driving visibility for my jeep. Good instructions on the install and a fairly easy process as well.

I received my new lights and thanks to you, everything fit and worked like a champ. My Toyota 4-Runner looks great. I can't thank you enough for all your help and professionalism!
Good product, quality appears to be good. I’ve had the bulbs installed for three days now and I am pleased. I would buy these again. The only reason I did not rated this five star is I was hoping for something a little brighter.
Your service is unbelievable. I tell all of my RV friends how great it is buying from Etrailer
