Lumens are used to measure the amount of usable light that is put out by a light source. Raw lumens represent the number of lumens that the manufacturer claims the LEDs are capable of producing. It does not include the light's drive method or the amount of light lost from the lens or reflector. Effective lumens take these factors into account and represent the number of lumens that are actually produced by the complete light assembly, not just the amount of light that the diodes are capable of producing. Stable lumens builds off the idea of effective lumens by measuring the amount of light produced after 30 minutes of usage, or once the diodes have reached their average operating temperature. These bulbs have a 3,000 raw lumen capacity per bulb and produce 1,995 effective lumens per bulb. The stable lumen capacity per bulb is 1,550 lumens.

Ellen: Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. And today, we're going to be taking a look at the Replacement LED Bulbs and also the Anti-flicker Harness. Now, this is going to come as a kit so you can get everything installed all at once and it allows you to replace your headlight bulbs with an LED bulb. That's going to be the 9012 or 9012 style bulbs, and it also comes with the harness to go with that. If your vehicle is CAN bus or PWM equipped, you'll need this harness to prevent any kind of flickering or that kind of shuddery effect that can sometimes happen with LEDs going into those vehicles. This is going to be a custom fit.
We can just plug and play with this. You don't have to worry about any kind of cutting or splicing, so really easy install. The lights are also made with a precise output. It's not just going to make the light go out everywhere. It's going to have a pretty precise pattern, so that's going to help to prevent us blinding other drivers on the road.
I'm going to hook this up to power and ground. You want to be sure to note the polarity here. They are polarity sensitive. Whenever you're plugging it into your wiring, just keep that in mind. Typically, the black wire is going to be ground.
The red wire is going to be power for your harness. It is actually marked on the bulbs themselves so it makes it a little bit easier to see which one is which.I'm going to turn that on. See our bright light comes on there and it kind of has that pattern. You can see, on the one side, it's only puts it out so far. It helps us to get that dialed in and you can rotate this housing around to match up with the housing in your vehicle so you can get that lined up where it needs to be.
It's also a nice, cool white color so that's definitely going to promote better visibility while we're out on the road. Whoops, and make it easier to see what's going on at night. As far as the more technical information with these, they are going to be a IP67 rated. That means that they're impervious to dust and weatherproofed so no worries about any water or dust getting in there causing any issues. We get the two bulbs, the two harnesses, some stuff to help us mount up that harness. We got two zip ties and two pieces of double-sided adhesive, instructions, sticker. The light output for each of our bulbs is 3000 lumens for the raw output. The effective lumen output is 1,995 lumens. That's going to be more the number to pay attention to since that's more the real-world application for the lights. After about 30 minutes though, that does drop down to 1,550 lumens. Still a bright light, but it does drop down a little bit after about that 30 minutes of continued usage. Our wattage is 16.5 Watts per bulb. The power draw at 13 volts is 1.3 amps per bulb. Our operating voltage goes between 7.5 volts and 16 volts DC, and it does have a two year limited warranty. That's about all there is for me to talk about with you guys for these lights. I hope this video has been helpful in deciding if they're the right ones for you. Again, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. Thanks for watching.

These worked fine in my 2022 Colorado. No brighter than the factory lights but the "right" color. Didn't need the anti-flicker harness though.
I've had the opportunity to use these LED's for about a month now and I can say they have worked great. They are exceptionally brighter than the OEM halogen bulbs with a slight blueish tint. I have tried other cheap LED's that flickered or pulsed and threw the light out everywhere, blinding oncoming traffic. These LED's have a very define cut-off line and concentrate the light appropriately. These are plug-and-play so it easy to install these in my quad headlights. I have a stock height truck so I didn't need to re-aim my headlights once I was done. I would suggest these as an upgrade from stock lights. Thanks etrailer!
They worked well, as anticipated and hoped for.
They are great. Anything better than stock lights. All the lights on my truck are LEDs now.
all good
