Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Putco 60 inch long Direct Fit Blade LED Tailgate Light Bar. Now this is a custom fit part, it is designed to fit the 2019 and newer Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500, 2500 and 3500 trucks. And on a custom fit part like this I do like to recommend for you to go to our website, use our fit guide, put in your year model vehicle, and it'll show if this will work for your application. Now this is a tailgate light bar which provides an auxiliary stop, tail, turn and backup light functions. And it is designed to install in the gap at the bottom of your tailgate between the tailgate and the bumper.

This bar, light bar does use LEDs which produce bright red or white light based on which signals being used. And also at the end of this video I am going to connect this light to some 12 volt power, just to show you how the light bar works and how bright it is. But I first wanna go over some of the features on it. We're gonna zoom in on the light bar itself. It does use the COB LED technology, which stands for chip-on-board technology.

This creates a nice bright solid panel of light. If you notice the LED chips here are mounted close together for a nice uniform high intensity light, similar to a lighting panel. It does use a sealed lens and housing unit which is waterproof. It is IP69K rated to stand up to severe environmental conditions and cleaning methods. And if you notice it's a nice tinted polycarbonate housing which provides a nice sleek look when it's installed.

And it is a simple installation. Comes with the included automotive grade 3M tape, the mounting clips to clip your light bar into and the connectors to connect to your power. Also, what's nice is this has this quick connect custom fit wiring harness, that'll plug into your vehicle's existing light connections. And at the end of that is a four way which will plug into the light bar. You take your four way of the light bar, plug it into that for the power.

So there's no cutting or splicing of any wires. Application again is for full size trucks. The length of the light bar is 60 inches. Width of it is only five eights of an inch. Height is three eights of an inch. Now the backup light color is gonna be a nice cool white color. And it is very bright, it's output is over 3000 lumens which I am gonna show you when we have this hooked up to the power. So what we're gonna do now is go ahead and turn on that 12 volt power, and with the power on you'll see the light bar light up and it gives you a long solid row of the LED light. Gonna go ahead and turn off the overhead lights. And you can see the light bar lit up now. When you turn on your running lights or taillights in your vehicle this is light up also. So it'll match them. And then again when you hit your brakes, at the rear of your truck as your taillights get brighter so does this light bar. And then on your turn signals. If we do the passenger side turn signal, you notice that half of the red lights will flash as a turn signal for the driver's side. And then if we turn on the passenger or the driver's side there's your driver's side turn signal. And then we mentioned the backup light. So again, if you go into reverse, your backup lights, there's your solid row of cool white color. And as we mentioned it's about over 3000 lumen outputs. So it's very bright. So when you do go in reverse everybody behind you will be able to know you're backing up. Gonna turn back on our overhead lights. And turn off our power.
