Adam: Hi, everybody. Adam here with etrailer. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the DZ truck bed mat. So you guys might be wondering why, Adam, do I really need a bed mat for my truck I'm going to use it. It doesn't really matter what goes in the bed. I disagree, and I'm going to show you why.So we just pulled in a truck.
It's a 2020 with about 10,000 miles on it, but the whole entire bed is completely scratched, literally from the tailgate all the way up until the cab of our truck. The first thing that I noticed when I pulled this thing into the shop here was that this thing has definitely been used and abused. You guys can see all these scratches. It is an extreme amount, something that I wouldn't want my truck, even if it's a 1962, I wouldn't want my truck to have all these scratches on it.So this bed mat is going to serve a really good purpose. One, if you guys are installing anything on the inside of your truck, like today, I put on this Tonneau cover, and I literally just put the truck bed mat in before I started installing because it was really tough on my knees.
So it's going to save your knees, and also it's just going to save your truck from this disaster you see here.So this is going to be a customized size and shape for your guys's specific truck. We have a 2020 Ram 1500 here, and you guys are going to see how easily it goes in and how nicely it fits. So if you guys don't have an extra set of hands, we can manage it ourselves. I've done this a couple times. It isn't the prettiest thing, it's not the easiest, but it is definitely possible.
So we just want to make sure that the striped side is going to be facing up and the dotted side is going to be facing down.And then of course we are going to have a unique shape to this one in particular. So we want to pick the right shape and put the right side towards the cab of our truck, kind of just find where it fits in the nicest, lay it in, pretty much a done deal. So in a matter of minutes, you guys can be protecting your bed to prevent it from all that. And the nice thing about it is it really doesn't take long at all, and we are going to have about three-eighths of an inch of really high quality, highly durable Nyracord. And this is going to not really rust or corrode, obviously, because it is rubber, but it's also not going to crack or anything like that, even in the most extreme temperatures.And one thing that I like, whenever I go ahead and throw stuff in the bed of my truck, that's just real loud, and it's scratching a bunch of stuff.
And you could definitely tell a difference there. So if you do have stuff that's kind of loosely sitting around, it's going to make less noise, and it's not really going to slide near as fast or as much. Obviously, we're going to have a lot of sliding just on the bare metal when we have some tools like you see here. But up on here, we are going to have a pretty grippy surface, so it is going to help you get traction with your feet, so you don't slip when it's wet, but also whatever you guys have in here, it's not going to slide around like crazy either. And when we're talking about sliding around, really the shape of this mat, when it goes all the way up to the cab of our truck, it kind of contours to the wheel wells of our back wheels and the bed of our truck, and obviously it goes all the way back to the tailgate.It's just very, very tightly fitted to the bed of the truck, so we're not going to see any shifting if any at all. But if we do think it's going to shift a little bit, we do have some grippy surfaces on the bottom, and these are just going to kind of just help keep it into place and keep it from shifting and sliding over time. Even if we do get a little bit of water in here, it's still going to hold pretty tightly and just stay into place.So I just want to go ahead and take some time to give you guys my opinion on it. If you guys are one of those who like to just throw your bikes in the bed of the truck, this mat is definitely going to be more forgiving than just a bare bed. Also going to be a lot more forgiving than some of those spray-in liners. You'll probably get a lot of scuff marks and stuff like that over time. And then I would definitely say that this is going to be superior to the drop-in liners, one, just because it is going to be a little bit more grippy. And usually with those drop-in liners, they really don't sit very well. They kind of bubble out and maybe warp over time. This is just going to go in really simply and easily, have a great shape, and fit your bed very, very nicely.And one thing to look at when I look into what I'm going to do with the bed of my truck, usually I would always recommend doing a spray-in liner, but it does get a little pricey and not a lot of people can do that on their own. I know I wouldn't trust myself to do it on my own. This way, you just buy it, you go ahead and cut it out of the packaging, and just in a minute or two, you'll have your whole entire floor of your bed nice and protected. One thing I would add, if we're protecting the floor of the bed of our truck, might as well protect the tailgate as well. And we do have those options here at etrailer as well.Well, everybody that pretty much does it for the DZ truck bed floor mat, and hopefully this video kind of helps you guys understand what benefits you guys are going to get with a floor mat and how it sets it apart from other options that you guys would choose for the bed of your truck. Hopefully, you guys saw how badly scratched this bed is. And hopefully that makes you guys understand that you really do need to protect your bed. This is a heavy duty bed mat that can withstand a lot of abuse.
The fit for my Silverado was good except behind the wheel wells where it was a bit too wide. A small trim job made it perfect otherwise an excellent product that should last for years. I would recommend this bed mat.
Arrive in a timely manner. Unpacked it. Rolled it out in the truck. Perfect fit. Makes things a little harder to load, but still better than having everything sliding around banging into the side of the box. Unlike the slippery sprayed-in bed liner did. No problems here.
Works as listed, protects the bed and keeps items from sliding around when driving. Only negative is that it is heavy when you want to clean up underneath or.
I purchased the DeeZee bed mat as I had a Rhino Lining sprayed into the bed of my new Sierra, but wasn't told that the "version" of the lining they spray in now was slipperier than $#@#. So, only option was to get a bed mat. This one fit perfectly and I can tell you NOTHING will slide around for sure. Had to lift my heavy tool box to the front of bed instead of pushing it... lol. But - it will serve the purpose I wanted (my ice fishing sled slid around like an ice cube on the kitchen counter without the new bed mat)..... :-)
The custom bed mat fit the layout of the truck bed exactly. The mat is constructed of durable heavy weight rubber and the mat does not fly up in the bed while you are driving down the highway (some mats try to flyout of the bed because they are light-weight).
The mat is a perfect fit for my 2019 Silverado. I've owned it for a year and it has held up well in Arizona sun with no signs of deterioration. It is made from a heavy thick material that stays in place even when dragging things over it. I prefer the mat over a bedliner so my tie down points are unobstructed and I have the full bed width available to me.
The custom fit is precise. High quality and made in the USA!

This bed mad is quite heavy and durable. I like how there's no need to drill into the bed for installation. Just drop it in and go! It evens the floor of the bed out nicely so loading items is super easy and they don't slide around.
Arrived sooner than expected. Thanks. Great condition, just like one I used years ago for hauling stone, coal, cement blocks, etc. Could never even marked it with a shovel edge. Same item.these are incredibly durable. They do have an odor when new, just like new tires. This will dissipate in a few weeks, a normal condition, since made of tire rubber. Not completely flat when rolled out. Place it out in the sun a few hours. Then reroll backwards prior to installation. roll up front first, back last, so it rolls almost perfectly in place. The fit is good, about an inch all around. Mine was over a spray in bed liner. Plenty thick, and heavy.

After receiving an email from etrailer explaining that my order would not be ready to ship for two to three weeks they kindly asked if that was okay with me or would I prefer to cancel. It also promised that if I wished to leave the order pending they would remain in touch and keep an eye on it and update me on the status. I decided to continue with the order and it arrived at my front door only one week later.
The product is very heavy duty and fits like a glove as you can y the photos. It also has a very sticky feeling surface that should keep most cargo pretty much in place.
But the real reason I am sending in this evaluation is not so much the product as it is etrailer and the way they do business. I have to say that anyone selling products on the internet should take lessons from etrailer and their staff. Their website gives tons of information on each product and the how-to videos are excellent. You know exactly what you are ordering and their customer service is the best I have ever encountered. I will be coming back the next time I need something for my truck or trailer.
Although this mat was cataloged for the previous generation Frontier, with just a little trimming at the tailgate and the left side wheel well (shown in photos), it fit well in my 2022 with the 6 foot bed!
Excellent Bed Mat for my 2016 Nissan Frontier with 6-foot bed. Fits very well, and is sufficiently thick, unlike a lot of the other mats I looked at. In addition to providing plenty of protection, the extra thickness has the added effect of smoothing out the corrugations in the bed. I like the durometer and finish, too - it's just grippy enough that things stay put, and not slippery when wet (like a lot of bed liners) but you can still slide cargo around when you need to. Also, the molded pattern runs lengthwise - some of the others I looked at had snaggy diamond texture, etc. It's the mat I wanted - had to wait for delivery, but it was well worth it. I've hauled everything from firewood and construction materials to welders and equipment, and this mat is just about perfect. Highly recommend and will likely buy for my next truck. Unfortunately, DeeZee does not offer a matching tailgate mat - if they did, I'd get that, too.
The rubber is soft enough to give a good no slide surface. The only reason it's not worthy of 5 stars is the surface has blemishes in it. But it's a bed mat so it's fine for my purposes.
Bought it because of the weight. Some are so thin, I think they would blow out of the bed. Now I can kneel in the bed without hurting my knees. A empty propane bottle stays in place instead of rolling around in the bed and messing up the sides. Hauled a Deer home and the mat made it very easy to clean up the blood.
Made of good quality material. Has held up well after one year. Still looks like and cleans up well.
My new bed mat fits my 2023 Toyota Tacoma perfectly! I had one of these mats in my previous pickup that I had for 14 years and it very durable. Best buy for the money in my opinion.
Works perfectly. It fits well and has a bit of tack to it such that items won't slide about in the bed. It is thick and sturdy and feels like it will hold up to abuse well. I have it installed on top of my stock bed liner because I wanted to keep the side protection and that means that it doesn't lay perfectly flat at the edges but that is what I expected because of the liner. I personally think that this is better way to use it. It is also much nicer for my dogs to stand on rather than the bed liners grooved bottom.

After a year of use, the bed mat still looks as good as new. It is a great mat for sure. I still wish I had the correct Rhino Lining sprayed in, but the DeeZee sure holds things in place.
