Stacked-plate heat exchangers have long been considered the most effective type of oil or transmission cooler, primarily because of their increased surface area. Allowing fluid to spread out over this larger surface area decreases the time required for heat transfer to take place. As a result, plate coolers typically manage to cool a greater volume of fluid faster than tube-and-fin, or even plate-and-fin, varieties. Add to that the turbulator technology - whereby fluids are agitated continuously to not only facilitate heat transfer, but also to prevent any undesirable drop in pressure - and you have an absolutely superior cooling system.

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Derale 10 row stacked plate cooler with the minus 10 ANO-ring female inlets. Now the stacked cooler will prolong the life of your engine or your transmission and the stacked plate coolers will typically manage to cool a greater volume of fluid faster than the tube and fin or even the plate and fin models. The stack plate cooler is designed with 10 rows of two inch deep turbulator plates for increased capacity and more efficient cooling. And what's nice is that turbulator technology is when the fluids are agitated continuously to not only facilitate heat transfer but also to prevent any undesirable drop in the pressure. Does improve overall performance, prevents any heat related failures.
It'll facilitate the heat transfer between high pressure fluids by using the aluminum construction. Fluid capacity of the cooler is about six ounces and as we mentioned it'll work is either engine oil or transmission cooler. Comes with the integrated brackets to a top two at bottom for easy installation. Now the hardware to install, this is not included. We do sell to hardware separately.
This part has a nice black powder coat finish to it. And if you look up at the top, these are the fittings. They're aluminum fittings, and the inlet size on those is minus 10 ANO-ring female inlets. Last thing I wanna do is we send you some dimensions on this. So if we do the overall length including the mounting brackets end to end is gonna be right at 13 inches long.
The overall height which we're gonna measure from the bottom to the very top of the inlet, that's the highest point is right at 3 9/16 inches tall. The total depth on it right at two inches deep and the distance between the inlet center to center is right at 10 inches. But that's gonna do it for the review on this Derale 10 row stack plate cooler with the minus 10 ANO-ring female inlets.
