Today we're gonna take a look at the Peterson Great White Top Mount, LED Trailer License Plate Light. Now this is a nice compact LED light that illuminates your trailer's license plate. Uses a single LED light, which will meet DOT requirements when it's mounted properly above your license plate. The LEDS are nice because they make great replacements for incandescent lights, they last about 50 times longer. They're more efficient, they'll provide brighter light with less power output. Of course no bulbs to replace or no brittle filaments.

This one is a nice clear lens over a white LED, you can see it's in a nice black housing. It is a surface mount design to the trailer with the built in bracket here. It does mount above the license plate, and as you notice it does come with the two screws for installing it. It is two wire design, uses these mail bullets. Includes the power lead and the ground wire, and are both black wires so you can use either one for ground or power.This light is DOT, Department of Transportation compliant.

It is made in the USA, the voltage is 12 volts. A few dimensions on this, and then we're gonna hook this up and show you how the light is. Overall length, and the end is right at three inches. Total depth, one and 9/16ths inches deep. The two mounting holes center to center is two inches.

You can see the long screws will just go through the front just like that when you install it. So what we're gonna do now is I'm gonna hook up some 12 volt power to this light just to show you how bright it is. As I mentioned you can hook one ground or power to either connector. I'll go ahead and turn our power on, you can see the light comes on. We'll go ahead and turn off the overhead light.

You can see once this is mounted above your license plate it'll give you a nice lit up area over your license plate. That's a single LED. Turn back on our overhead lights, disconnect it.That should do it for the review on the Peterson Great White Top Mount, LED Trailer License Plate Light.
