James was very helpful and shipped faster then expected.

by:

This hitch works great. It was easy to install and shipping was quick.

by:

Easy to install and Heavy Duty! Installed on a 2006 Silverado 2500HD Crew Cab Full Bed. No Problems. After taking the old rusted one out, I cleaned everything up and coated that section of frame with POR-15 and slapped the new one in.

by:

It very strong built hitch better than stock should last me a long time I'm real happy with the items that I bought with etrailer.com. When I contact them to get information on the hitch and light plug kit and mounting bracket they recheck the items for me with no problem. Installation of all products when very easy. Thank you.

Super fast shipping and for perfectly thank you!

by:

Pkg was delivered in good time, BUT, The box was all tore up on 2 corners, I found 2 out of 8 bolts in my driveway.
No nuts washers, all the hardware fell out of the big hole in the box, someone had the whole corner of the box but still left a big hole for all the hardware to fall out..
Called your cust service and got no satisfaction, will be sending my hardware but being a Friday afternoon I won't see it until at least Wednesday at best.
This delay really set me back on the use of my truck.
At least I thought the hardware should've been sent overnight
Customer Service didn't seem to concerned about it.
This why I rated etrailer as poor.

2006 Chevrolet Silverado

Great hitch. Pretty easy to install, however on a 2006 Silverado you DO have to drill one hole in the frame, and the bolts that go into the bumper are not the right size. I just used the old ones and it was fine.

Our tech tip in the fitguide shows that on your 06 Chevy 2500 HD with a 6.5 Foot Bed, two holes will need to be drilled and some fascia trimmed. No drilling is required on the 8 foot bed.

by:

This is a great hitch it was so great I bought second one from etrailer for my other work truck it was a little tough getting the holes to line up but once I got them no problem a lot better than the factory one that I removed from the trucks
Thanks

Real happy with hitch worked great

by:
2008 Chevrolet Silverado

I am very pleased with my experience with etrailer. From tracking information being updated regularly to delivery when promised!
The hitch was correct and heavier than I expected.
I will definitely refer others to etrailer and will use them again, myself.

I will have our Customer Service team reach out to you. Typically the hardware will be stored inside the hitch receiver opening.

2002 Chevrolet Silverado

Bed size matters. Direct fit for my 8" bed. Only complaint is that there arent drill holes to mount the curt harness bracket.

by:

This was the second hitch I had to purchase because the first one did not fit, at all. The return was easy, and the new one arrived fairly quickly. I still needed to drill holes to make it fit properly, but it was a fairly easy fix.

by:

Works as designed. I'd purchase another if needed

by:

Up graded my receiver from 7500 lb to 10000 lb, easy install comes with all new bolts and washers, allows me to up grade my trailer for the increased load range.

by:
2002 Chevrolet Silverado

Received my hitch today and installed it in about an hour. Everything went as expected with everything needed for the installation. I had to drill the holes for my short bed which went fine. Very pleased with the product!

by:
2002 GMC Sierra

by:

I don't think I know that the business practice is second to none. It Fits.

I now can use the hitch. I had to ream out the pin hole it was not drilled straight. Remember the first hitch was twisted so it was unable to install it

  • Replacement Trailer Hitch for a 2008 Chevy Silverado 2500/3500
The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 14211 would be an excellent replacement trailer hitch option for a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado 2500/3500. It works on long/short and 2WD/4WD models. It will do a great job in place of the factory trailer hitch and it's rated up to 10/12K.

  • Class IV Trailer Hitch Receiver for a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD with 8 Foot Bed
For a class IV trailer hitch that is a confirmed fit for your 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD, I recommend using the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 14211. This hitch is a custom fit that installs using pre-drilled holes in the frame rails. It has a 12,000 lb weight capacity which will meet the most well equipped 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD so there would be no need to pay more for a class V trailer hitch. The Curt trailer hitch is also made in the USA and has a lifetime warranty....

  • 13k Hitch Recommendation for a 2005 Chevy Silverado 2500 with 6-1/2 foot bed
For your 2005 Chevy Silverado I would recommend the Draw Tite Hitch part # 41944. This hitch requires no drilling for installation, has a 13k capacity and will replace your current factory hitch. I attached an install video for you to check out as well.

  • Options for a Hitch Receiver on a 2006 Sierra With a Roll Pan Bumper
The Curt # 14211 hitch will essentially be a direct replacement and may require trimming to install with a roll pan bumper. We do have the Curt # 13932, which is designed to fit a 1500 with a roll pan bumper, however. Unfortunately, it does not look like there are currently any options available for a 2500 or 3500 Sierra.

  • What is the Difference Between Curt C14008 and Curt 14211?
The difference between the Curt # 14211 and the Curt # C14008 is pretty subtle, but it has to do with how they mount to the frame of the vehicle. The Curt # 14211 mounts in factory drilled holes further forward in the frame allowing it to fit on a 2003 GMC Sierra 2500 HD with an 8 foot or 6 foot bed. The Curt # C14008 will only fit models with an 8 foot bed. The capacities are otherwise identical

  • Comparing Drop of Curt Hitch C14108 and 14211 for a 2001 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD
In regards to the Curt Trailer Hitch Receivers for a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD - 6-1/2 Foot Bed, the part # C14108 will sit closer to the bumper like the factory hitch when compared to the part # 14211. The latter has a higher class rating which requires more material i.e. gussets so it won't sit as closer to bumper.

  • Does the Curt Class IV Receiver Hitch Fit a 2009 Chevy Silverado 1500
We do have a trailer hitch to fit your 2009 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, but the Curt # 14211 is not a fit. As you pointed out, this will fit the 2500 6-1/2 and 8 foot bed as well as 3500 pickup models. Instead, hitch # C15323 will fit the 1500 and is designed for heavy-duty towing. I have attached a video of an installation on a 2010 Silverado that you may use for reference.

  • Will Trailer Hitch Receiver For 2007 GMC Sierra 1500 Fit 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD
I have a replacement option for you, but Reese Trailer Hitch Receiver from a 2007 GMC Sierra 1500 will not fit on a 2004 Chevrolet 2500HD due to the differences in the rear frame. Instead I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class IV # 14211 which is confirmed to fit a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD with either the 6-1/2' bed or 8' bed, and also has a maximum tongue weight rating of 1000lbs and a maximum trailer weight rating of 10000lbs. Using a weight distribution...

  • Will The Curt Class IV Receiver Hitch 14211 Fit A 2006 GMC Sierra 2500HD Classic
The Curt Class IV Trailer Hitch # 14211 will fit both the 8 foot and 6-1/2 foot bed options for the 2006 GMC Sierra 2500HD model year, though two holes will need to be drilled on 6-1/2 foot bed. If you are looking for an American made hitch with great capacity and a 2 inch receiver opening, this is definitely your hitch. As a potential add on, you may want to check out the Roadmaster Quiet Hitch # RM-061 anti-rattle device. With the weight Class IV hitches can handle, movement in the hitch...

I have a hitch for your 2002 GMC Sierra 2500HD but the item # 13932 only fits the 1500 models. Instead you will want the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver item # 14211. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your GMC with included hardware. It fits the 6-1/2' and 8' bed models with or without the rear hitch. • Winch Strap Compatible With Dutton-Lainson Hand Winch # DL14627
You are correct that the Dutton-Lainson Hand Winch with TUFFPLATE Finish, Single Speed - 1,800 lbs. # DL14627 is rated for a 38 foot strap but that is using a strap similar to the Hand Winch Strap with Safety Hook, 2" Wide x 25' Long - 4,000 lbs. # DL24249. We don't have one that is that length, so I can't confirm physically but the manufacturer says that is the case. I checked with Fulton and the Fulton XLT, 2-Speed Trailer Winch - 3,200 lbs Item # F142425 is made by our neighbors to the south, Mexico. If you are looking for a winch that is made in the USA I recommend Dutton-Lainson Hand Winch with TUFFPLATE Finish, Two Speed with Direct Drive - 3,200 lbs Item # DL15440. This winch is also rated for 3,200 pounds and has 2 speeds. The strap is not included but you can add up to a 25 foot long strap such as # IMF14211.

The BoatBuckle Boat Winch Strap with Hook and Safety Latch - Loop End - 3" x 25' - 5,000 lbs # IMF14213 is exactly 3 inches wide. I pulled it from the warehouse and measured it to confirm. If that is too wide, I recommend the BoatBuckle Boat Winch Strap with Hook and Safety Latch - Loop End - 2" x 25' - 8,000 lbs # IMF14211 or the Hand Winch Strap with Safety Hook, 2" Wide x 25' Long - 4,000 lbs. # DL24249.

  • Replacement Wiring Harness Bracket for 2004 Chevy Silverado 2500HD with New Curt Hitch
In order to mount your OEM wiring connectors to the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 14211 on your 2004 Chevy Silverado 2500HD we have the No-Drill Bracket # C57202. This wraps around the crosstube of the trailer hitch and allows you to mount a connector that has a bracket like part # HM48625. If you're also needing a new connector then I recommend using the Hopkins Endurance # HM40975 because it looks great and is actually the OEM replacement for a lot of different pickups.

  • How to Determine Necessary Winch Strap Strength
The working load limit (WLL) of the winch strap is the determining factor. The weight of your Sea Ray cannot exceed the WLL of the strap. A 4,000 lb, 2" x 20' strap such as the BoatBuckle # IMF05848 has a WLL of 1,333 lbs. The BoatBuckle # IMF14211 is 2" x 25' and has a WLL of 2,667 lbs.
