Use this fuse-disconnect system to prep your vehicle to be towed. Simply relocate your car's fuse with this bypass and flip the integrated switch. To drive your car, just flip the switch back on. No need to remove or replace your fuse.

Features:

  • Bypasses towed car's fuse so you can tow your vehicle without draining its battery
    • Provides a simple alternative to removing mini-fuse every time you tow
    • Stores fuse so that you won't lose it
  • Installs quickly, easily and permanently
    • Remove mini-fuse from car's fuse box and install bypass in its place
    • Put fuse into fuse holder
    • Mount bypass switch near fuse box
  • Maintains functionality of mini-fuse when switched on
    • Flip switch to "on" position and drive like normal
  • Overrides mini-fuse when switched off
    • Flip switch to "off" position and you're good to tow
  • 1-Year warranty

Note: Consult vehicle's owner's manual to determine which fuse to pull. Do not install a fuse that has more than a 20-amp rating.

Some automobiles can only be towed if you get under the hood and pull a fuse. If you don't remove this fuse before towing, there's a good chance that your car's battery will be drained by the time you reach your destination.

With this bypass, once the initial installation is complete, you won't have to remove or replace your fuse again. Just pull the fuse indicated in your car's owner's manual and replace it with the bypass. After you install the bypass, insert the removed fuse into the holder of the bypass system. With the fuse installed in this manner, it will still be able to function as needed. Mount the included switch near the fuse box and you're set.

Whenever you need to drive your car, just make sure the switch is flipped into the "on" position. When on, the fuse will be active and your vehicle will function normally. Then, when it comes time to tow, switch the bypass to "off." When off, the fuse will be rendered inactive so that you can flat tow your car without its battery being drained.

While attempting to install it was impossible to plug in and get it to stay in place. The spade end broke before I was able to get it properly installed. Had to Jerry-rig it to get this inferior product to work. Not worth the time or money.

These are designed to fit micro fuses and are not going to slip in easy, you will need to give them a little push just make sure that you are pushing straight in and not at an angle because the tips could snap.

Product came as described and had no issues. Installed it about a year ago and still works ^_^

Great. I used it in my travel trailer to have a onoff switch for the OEM radio. Without the switch the radio is always drawing some small amount of power from the battery. It plugged right in. No cutting wires, no crimps, no wire nuts needed.

For a normal mini ATO plug in fuse block this would be great! My 2012 Honda CRV uses mini ATO fuses where the contact is made on the side of the fuse as it slides in. The two separate blade connectors at the end of the switch wiring are VERY HARD to get to stay in the fuse block! I made a small plastic wedge to slide between the blade connectors to force them to stay in position. The quality of the switch is great and installation is easy but if you're trying to put it in a 2012 Honda CRV (and maybe other Honda's with this style fuse block) be aware of this issue.!!

These are a good alternative to the Roadmaster bypass switches and also cost less. I ended up pulling the wiring out of the plastic conduit. The area where this is used doesn't need it and doing that made it much easier to work with. I made my own labels for Drive and Tow positions. Two of these were worked great at bypassing the four fuses that had to be pulled for flat towing a 2019 Chevrolet Sonic. I used some of my wife's fingernail polish to indicate the drive position, "still need to touch that up a bit". See photo.

  • Could I use 25 amp fuse in short lead wire which is rated for 20 amp
The components in the Curt # C93HR Fuse Bypass are only rated for 20 amps. I would not use on a circuit with a higher amp draw. However you can use the Blue Ox # BX88274 bypass rated for 50 amps safely.

  • Recommended Fuse Bypass Switch For Flat Towing A 2008 Honda CR-V
You'll only need a single fuse bypass switch like the Curt Fuse Bypass Switch for Towed Vehicles # C93HR you were looking at. You'll want to pull the ACC Radio fuse, which is fuse # 34 and the location can be seen in the attached picture. To flat tow your 2008 Honda CR-V you'll also need a tow bar, tow bar wiring kit, base plate, braking system, and safety cables. If you don't already have these items then I have the following recommendations for you below: Tow Bar: Roadmaster Falcon...

  • Which Side Of The Curt Fuse Bypass Switch Is The On Or Off Position
I went out to the warehouse to take a better look and check the instructions of the Curt Fuse Bypass Switch # C93HR and they don't specify either so I gave Curt a call and they informed me that when you press the switch so that the red is hidden the power would be on and when you press the button so that the red is showing the power would be off. You can test this though with a circuit tester # PTW2993 on the fuse to see if it's getting power to confirm since Curt has been really vague...

  • Fuse Bypass Switch For a 2014 Honda CR-V
Yes, the Curt Fuse Bypass Switch # C93HR can be used to make your 2014 Honda CR-V tow ready easier than removing the small 7.5amp ATM fuse. I have attached a video showing the Roadmaster FuseMaster Fuse Bypass # RM76511 being installed on a 2014 CR-V for you to reference. Do be aware that the Roadmaster bypass is longer and you may not be able to install the Curt switch in the same location.

  • How to Power Roadmaster Even Brake on Vehicle When Battery Has to be Disconnected
We have exactly what you need. When a vehicle battery needs to be disconnected to flat tow it and there's a braking system like what you have that needs power like your Roadmaster Even Brake part # RM-9400 the solution is to install the Roadmaster Outlet Kit part # RM-9332. This wires directly to the battery and gives you a power outlet that will be function while the rest of the vehicle is disconnected from the battery.

  • What Do the Fuses That Work with the Curt Fuse Bypass Switch for ATM Mini Fuses Look Like
The Curt Fuse Bypass Switch for Towed Vehicles part # C93HR works with ATM Mini Fuses which look like the ones in the photo below. Please note, I can't comment or recommend what you are wanting to do as this is not the intended purpose of the bypass.
