This kit allows your RV's monitoring system to alert you whenever the brake pedal of your towed car is being applied. Other systems operate according to whether the air cylinder is extended and provide no indication of what is happening with the pedal itself. If your supplemental braking system is improperly installed, it may be continuously pressing on the pedal, impeding it from fully retracting and possibly causing damage to your vehicle's tires and braking system. I can’t say what I really think. Requires advanced mechanical skill in my opinion. Installation is a real bear unless you are slender and double jointed. I’m 60 plus and my tummy well u get it. Anyway this is in a 2019 Buick Envision. I had to lay on my back with seat fully reclined all the way back to try and get at the bolts to attach the bracket. There ain’t gonna be any pics of it had all I could do to figure it out. First the instructions are semi clear. I took wrong nut off first. To get it on correct stud the bracket has to be modified. It took 3 tries. Yup and each time standing on my head basically putting this puppy in and out. A video of me doing this would have been priceless I could here my neighbor snickering every time I crawled in and out of vehicle. Other than modifying the bracket the rest isn’t so bad. Adjustment takes some time but it’s absolutely critical that it is correct. After the installation adventure everything works great.
