The tailgate lock works great. Took me about an hour, but I was watching video (on the install) while working. Fairly easy job, and it adds a ton of utility to the truck. Great price too. I recommend watching a couple YouTube videos before doing the job. The etrailer video is great with the exception of the top cap removal. I don't recommend sepay the top cap off, but remove it as one piece by tapping it to the right. Very happy with the product.
Great product, instillation easy. A solid product. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a more secure truck bed you can’t beat this one.

I installed the etrailer Pop and Lock tailgate lock on my 2018 Honda Ridgeline. The item was delivered very quickly. The instructions were clear enough but there were several YouTube videos that made the installation easy.
Since I installed it I can't believe I went 3 years without it. Coupled with my trifold tonneau cover, I now have a secure place in the back of my truck.
My Honda has an after-market alarm that won't allow for the installation of the electronic version of the Pop&Lock. The manual locking version of Pop&Lock was my only option. Installation was straight forward once I found a YouTube video. Installation took about one hour; but, I wasn't in a hurry. Pictures in the instructions that came with the product were blurry and didn't provide enough detail to be useful; but, the YouTube video was more than adequate. Pop&Lock should solve my need for locking the tailgate; manually.
This product works ok and I appreciated the modest cost. My only concern, which prevented a 5 star rating, was the use of a spring in the solution. I had trouble with the spring after opening the box. Customer Service was great and sent me a new one. The experience leads me to wonder how long the spring will function properly after repeated use.
This product is great. Very easy to install with clear instructions provided. Provides security both locally and for trips. I highly recommend for anyone with a tonneau or topper. Additionally, very speedy handling and shipping by Etrailer.
The pop and lock for our 2017 Honda Ridgeline arrived promptly and was nicely packed. My husband and I had no problem installing it with the instructions provided. Thanks!

Unit still working great
I have used the lock for a year now and t still works fine. My wife had to talk me into installing it but she was right.
I like the manual one over the electric one. In the winter time the electric one does not work. It freezes up.
It's a lock that lets me lock the pickup gate. Easy to install and so far no issues.

After year, still working fine! On trips, it is nice to have the tailgate locked so anything in the bed is out of sight. Combined with a bed cover all is secure.
