Ellen: Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and we're going to be taking a quick look at the replacement deflector for your snowplow. This is going to replace that rubber piece that goes on of the top of the plow to make the snow go back down so that it's not coming up and over that plow. So that keeps it in the blade and keeps it pushing out to the outside, which is where you want it to go. So over time, that can get damaged, torn, maybe just kind of stiffen up and start to crumble if it's really old. So this is going to be a great way to replace it.We'll also get four brackets to kind of reinforce that on the front side to our snowplow so it's going to stay nice and sturdy in place.

And then it also comes with the corresponding hardware to get that put on. So let's talk about it a little bit more in detail and I'll give you a little closer look at this material. It is kind of bound up. It's 10 feet long so that's why I have it just in this cylinder here. It's fairly heavy too.

It's pretty thick rubber. It's about half an inch thick. So you can kind of see that here on the corner. Really nice heavy duty rubber to keep that snow going back down, instead of coming up again over the top of your plow.The brackets are made of a sturdy steel. They are powder-coated so you don't have to worry about those rusting out too quickly.

Should stay pretty corrosion-free for a while. And then it comes with 15 nuts and bolts to get that put onto your plow. The rubber is a belted, extra thick rubber. So again, that's going to stay nice and sturdy for many years and it being 10 feet long, you can get that trimmed down as you need. The instructions that it comes with to kind of help you get it installed does have some different plows that it mentions that this is a fit for specifically.But really it can fit on just about any kind of plow.

The main thing would be the distance between those brackets. So I'll give you some measurements of those to make sure that they are a fit for your particular application, but you can cut down that rubber to fit as you need it. Each of those brackets measures 26 inches long and about an inch and a half wide. And then the distance between those mounting holes center to center is a little over 11 inches. That's going to be the same for all of them.So if that matches up with what you already have, that should be a good fit or you could always fabricate some different holes on those brackets to make it work, to make it more universal. But as far as this material goes, you can really cut it down to just about any kind of length that you'd need it to be to fit your particular plow.So I hope this has been helpful in deciding if this is going to be the right one for you. One last measurement, the width of this material is 12 inches. Again, the thickness is a half inch and the total length is 10 feet.
