Ellen: Hey, everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. Today, we're taking a look at the K Source replacement side mirror. Now this is going to be a custom fit for the 2012 through 2019 Nissan NV. And that's going to be the 1500, the 2500, and the 3500.But this should just match up with our OEM mirror perfectly. We shouldn't have any differences as far as the fit or finish.
We'll have the same three studs and new flange nuts to get those installed, so no modifications there to get it in place. Also, our wiring should just plug right into our original wiring harness, so you just unplug, unthread the old one, take it off, pop this new guy on there, plug everything in, and you should be good to go. So it's really easy, no modifications. As I said, no cutting or drilling, no splicing required with this.We'll also have that foam gasket to help dampen any road noise, provide cushion in between the two, so there's no gaps or anything like that where water or air can find their way in. Our glass is going to be a flat glass.
That's typical of our driver's side, so we don't have any distortion. We'll have a true representation of whatever's behind us. And then at the bottom, we'll have that spotter mirror to eliminate any kind of blind spots as we're going around turns and changing lanes and things like that.It does have a breakaway design. So if you look here, we'll have that little seam where it can break away and flip this over, show you guys how it folds in against your NV, so if somebody we're to strike your mirror, it should fold away rather than snapping off. And you can also, as you can see, manually fold it in if you're on a narrow one-way street or maybe parking in a tight garage somewhere.
So it eliminates the possibility that it could get damaged.Now, if you need the passenger side mirror, that's also available here at etrailer.com. Same specs and everything, it's just going to have that convex lens rather than the flat glass. That's typical of passenger mirrors.
