Ellen: Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and today we're going to be taking a look at the Derale 18 inch Stainless Steel Flex Fan. This is going to help to push more air into your transmission and into your engine so you can get the most out of your vehicle. This is going to help you to perform at peak performance, get more torque out of your vehicle, and overall just help to make it work better. This is going to be kind of a low profile design, so it's going to be able to fit in narrower spaces and still give you that same air movement that you need. This is going to be a reverse style blade, so it's going to move counter-clockwise, which will be that direction.
So as you're looking at it, it's going to move reverse of the standard. So if that's what you're looking for this is the fan for you. It just is a matter of how those blades are oriented. So we do have a standard version that's just like this here at etrailer.com so if that's what you want, check out that one.As far as the size, it is 18 inches from blade to blade. If we want to get exact, it's more like 18 and a quarter.
If we look at the pilot hole in the center that has a diameter of five eighths of an inch.Our mounting holes here, the distance between those, since they are slotted, we're going to have a maximum and a minimum. So our flange can be adjusted between one and three quarter inches, up to two and a quarter inch. As far as how much you can adjust those out. Again, this does have a reverse rotation. The RPM rating for this is 8,000 RPMs or rotations per minute.
It is made in the USA and has a one year warranty. The width of this is going to be one and an eighth inch deep.The construct is a stainless steel and then the hub inside is a black powder coated steel, so it should give you many years of solid performance.
