Hey everyone, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and we're going to be taking a quick look at the Alpha Systems, AlphaBond TPO Repair Tape. This is going to be a way to repair any kind of small issues with your roof membrane, or maybe put on some kind of flashing around the edges. It's available in white or black, two different part numbers for those, but they're the exact same thing, regardless of that. So it's just going to be this nice instant tack material on the back here, peel this up so you can actually see what it looks like. So it should be able to adhere immediately to your roof. So you don't have to worry about using any kind of primer.
It is intended to be a non primer required material. So there's a backing here that you'll just have to remove to actually get to that elastomer material.And it does have a very tacky surface. So that's going to help to adhere to the surface. You want to make sure that it's clean and dry. Whenever you do apply this, that's going to help it to adhere the best that it can.
And this can adhere to wood metal, fiber board, and all other kinds of roofing membrane materials. It's also form fitting. So it can go around any kind of edges to make a nice clean seal around them.The elastomers have that nice tackiness to them and then it has a TPO facer, so that helps you resist any kind of UV rays or damage from the sun. Each of these roles will measure 10 feet by 4 inches. Again, they are sold separately, white and black, but they're pretty much the exact same thing, both covered by a limited one-year warranty and made in the USA.

Compared to Eternabond tape, this is a poor copy. The plastic backing is very very hard to remove and you end up sticking the tape to itself. You also get a bunch of mastic stuck to your fingers trying to mess with the backing. Once applied, the tape is too thin and the top white layer is thin. The mastic is also half the thickness of the Eternabond tape

This tape is easy to apply and will definitely not be easily removed. I used it to seal the entire outer edge of my slide out room.

I had a roof leak on my 40 ft Tiffin Phaeton and it appears to be along the roof seam. I bought this tape in 50 ft lengths to seal the seam. It did the job fine and no more leaks along the inside. I figured I should be good for several years before needed it again. I bought two colors to match portions of the roof. Sorry no photos because it is on the roof and you can barely see it.
