Today we're going to be taking a look at part number RVPL8A. This is the Optronics RV Porch/Utility Light. It's going to feature the nice amber lens. It's a Euro style and again it's going to be an RV porch or utility light. It's going to have the built-in on and off switch. That will even control the on and off function of the light.
It's going to feature a snap-on, replaceable poly carbonate lens. Very simple to take off. All you have to do is push it away from the light and that's going to snap out of the holes just like that. That's going to expose the mounting locations. There's going to be four mount holes and it's a very easy to replace incandescent bulb. It's going to use bolt type 921.
It's also been featured the all weather molded plastic corrosion resistant white housing. Go ahead and place this back on and just snaps back into place. We're going to have a two wire design, white wire for ground, black wire for power. This is UL and CSA listed. When it comes to the dimensions, I'm going to measure here at the back.
It's just a little bit more squared off and easier to get accurate measurements. Starting with the overall length, we're looking at about six and three-eighths of an inch. Going with the width right here at this point, it's going to give us a measurement of four and one quarter and then the depth, when mounted on a flat surface, from bottom to top that's only going to measure about one and seven of an eighths of an inch deep. Surface van installation using these four holes right here. Hardware is sold separately. Distance we have between these mount holes, that's going to give us a measurement, looks to be about one and three quarters of an inch.
Distance between these mount holes, it's going to be about two and three quarters of an inch and then going this direction, that's going to give us a measurement of about two and nine-sixteenths of an inch. Go ahead and hook it up to an external power source, that way you can see what it looks it with power running into it. Here you can see the amber lens allows a lot of light to come through. It's a one bulb design. Sends out a nice, bright signal and then we're going to have the on and off function right here, controlling that function with the switch. That's going to do it for today's look at part number RVPL8A.
