Adco Olefin Installed

Summer is over, and you're worried about your Class A motorhome getting dirty and damaged in storage during high winds, snow flurries, and spring thunderstorms. Whether you're storing your RV in the sunny south, rainy northwest, or snowy north, this heavy-duty cover is designed to protect your RV in any climate. When you keep your RV covered during the winter, you are less likely to need to wash and wax it at the start of the camping season. And if you want to trade your RV in for a newer model later down the road, this cover will help maintain that resale value.

The durable, high-density Olefin top panel won't crack or fade when exposed to harmful UV rays and won't let dirt and dust particles cake onto the surface of your RV. It also beads water when it rains to eliminate the black streaks and corrosion you tend to see on the sides and roof of your RV.

How to Measure Your Class A Motorhome

Adco How to Measure Class A RV

To determine if this cover will work for you, measure the overall length of your RV from the front bumper to the rear bumper, making sure you're accounting for any spare tire carriers and ladders on the back. Then measure the overall height from the bottom of the RV chassis to the top of the roof. Do not include any AC units, vents, or antennas in your height measurement, as the cover is already designed to accommodate them.

Securing the Cover onto Your RV

The included ladder cap and rain gutter covers help prevent the cover from splitting on those areas of the RV, so install those first. Then unroll the cover and carefully spread it evenly around your motorhome, making sure you don't pull too hard and tear the fabric. The cover is labeled with "front" and "rear" to help you position the cover correctly on your RV.

Once the cover is in place, pull on the cinch ropes on the front and the rear until the cover fits snugly around the contours of your rig. These ropes remove any excess slack in the material, especially if your RV is slightly shorter in length. Then toss the weighted straps underneath your RV to the other side and buckle them together. These straps keep the cover secure on your RV, preventing it from flapping in the wind and damaging the paint job.

And if you still need to winterize or access one of the cargo compartments, you can use the zippered panels on the passenger's side to easily access the interior of your RV without having to completely remove the cover.

Video Transcript for Adco Olefin HD All-Climate + Wind RV Cover Review

Whenever we put our travel trailer or RV in storage we do want to cover it just to protect it for the months that we're not gonna be using it. And today we're taking a look at the ADCO Olefin HD cover. The ADCO cover is going to protect your travel trailer or RV from the dirt, rain, and also the UV rays. This works best for your long term storage solutions for all the different climates that you may have your travel trailer RV in. And it's also going to just keep its retail value whenever you try to resell, but also just preventing you to have to clean it more and wax it once you take it out of storage. The side panels are gonna have vents up top.

That's just going to help it breathe a little bit just to make sure that there's not gonna be any moisture build up or mold or mildew. And a whole entire side is gonna be made of a polypropylene triple layer, not abrasive material so it's not gonna scratch, but it's also gonna breathe. The top construction's made of the Olefin fabric and this is going to protect against the harmful UV rays, but also it's gonna bead the rainwater at contact, so it's not gonna seep in and it'll eventually make its way off the cover. You notice the little humps on top of our roof. Those are our vents in our AC units.

It fit over there pretty good. If you're storing your travel trailer or RV close to your house, or you forgot something on the inside we have a zipper over here on the passenger side. Once we undo all the little clips and stuff we'll be able to access our door and get to the interior. Also have another zipper on this side as well. And this is gonna give you pretty good access, once we undo everything and you can go ahead and kind of roll this up if you want, throw it on the roof but now we have access to our door.

To access the inside, unzip the two zippers, disconnect everything holding that panel in, roll it up, and you do have some hook and loop up top that you can secure. There's gonna be one in the front, one in the middle, and one in the back, which gives you plenty of access even with the door to get in. What also comes in the kit is some RV water spout covers. We don't have any on our RV, but if you do have 'em you're gonna put these on first before you put the whole entire cover on, this is just gonna make sure it's not gonna rip the cover that we put on. And also it has a ladder cover as well.

It's just gonna go on the top of the ladder if it's a little sharp, ours wasn't, so you can put this on first as well, just to add an extra little barrier. There's a couple different ways to find the right cover for you. You can use the fit guide, which is at the center on the top of our website and that you can put your year, make, and model of the travel trailer or your RV to get the right one fitted for it. But also you can go by length, so just measure from the very front all the way to the very back. And, and that's another way you can find the right cover for your RV. Well, we took it down. We pretty much took it down and folded it like we did originally. So now it's kind of ready to bring back up on top for next time, the storage bag might fit around it, but this is just to give you an idea of where you're really gonna store it, how it's gonna store, really living with it. I would think definitely garage or basement, at least for my situation Do your best and try to get it in this storage bag Tighter the roll, the better it's gonna go in the storage case. I have it in the bag and I have all the excess parts like our ladder cover and our gutters covers in here as well. Now, once you're done, there's gonna be two little pull strings. You can pull this to cinch everything tight and tie it up and put it away in storage. It's gonna be a little difficult to get up there for the first time. It's gonna be a little difficult to get in the bag but it's only a one time, a year thing to put it up. And one time, a year thing to store it. That's what you get with all the covers on our site. None of them are gonna be super easy compared to the others. But we're gonna run you through the whole entire installation process right now. Right when you get your cover out of the box, just pay attention to how it's kind of rolled up. It's not gonna repack this pretty most likely. So just take note of that. Now what we wanna do, we wanna roll it out. And the goal here is to identify the front first there's gonna be a tag in here. So we'll find that. The tag looks like this. It's gonna say front. There's also gonna be another one that says rear. So identify those. And we're gonna keep the front towards one side. And then the rear to the other side. The goal here now is to get the outside of the cover to be on the outside. So identify that, you can notice that some of the stitching and stuff is on the outside, along with our little straps. So start to kind of fold that in on both sides all the way down throughout the length of the cover. Now, with it folded in and the outside facing out, we're gonna start on the rear side of our cover and let's roll this up. And we're gonna leave a little bit of excess on the end, right here. Then you can carry all this to the back of our motor home. Now we can take our cover, the front side that we left unrolled, and we're gonna climb up this ladder and start to bring it all the way to the front of an RV. And as you're pulling this it's gonna unravel what we rolled up earlier, and bring this all the way to the front. Try to stay away from any sharp edges or anything. Now that we have pretty much all the excess. You do wanna maybe bring a little bit more over the edge and then we can start kind of flapping everything out. And then again, go down the sides and start draping our cover over. There's a little seam of white and gray where it meets, the white's gonna go on your roof and the gray's gonna go down. So you can use that as a reference point to make sure it lines up with the corner of the side and the top of our RV. Once the sides are pretty much taken care of we can start to kind of roll the front over get it kind of lined up to where we want it. There's no secret sauce to this. You just kind of have to really handle the cover and work with it nice and slow, especially since we're up top here. If you do have some antennas like this and you are concerned that it's going to bend or break your antenna you could always cut the cover a little bit just to make sure it's not going to damage anything that's on top of your RV. One thing that I did, I just removed the antennas. So for the long term storage solutions I would just take 'em off. You're not gonna be using them just storm 'em somewhere safely. Now that we have everything pretty much even on the right and the left and we have the back snugged up as much as we can, we can take the excess, that we have, to drape it over, our front. And then, we can come on down. The goal here is to get it to where we can at least grab it from the bottom. So we don't have to come back up here anymore. I think we are good there so we can get off the top. Starting at the back at the rear, we're gonna take our little straps right here. I'm gonna start with the bottom one. We're gonna go from one bottom strap to, this on the other side, and then we can pull this pretty tight. I'm not gonna pull it all the way right now. I'm just gonna kind of get everything connected, but it still is relatively tight. There's one more up top. We can do, like that. Now that the back is secured, we can go and start doing some of the ones on the bottom in the back. We're gonna have these little short straps and it has weights on them. So grab these and we're gonna use this side to connect to our straps. It's gonna make it a lot easier to get it underneath the whole entire rig. So you don't have to crawl underneath there. So connect them, grab the weights and slide 'em on over. You can pull the rest through on the other side, we wanna make sure they're not tangled up or anything. This one is farther forward than this one. So we're gonna disconnect our weights, cuz we will use these for all the clips underneath and then we can line it up with the one right across from the strap. Pull this down a little bit, just to get the tension going but we'll tighten all this stuff up at the very end. Same thing with the front, just connect these two straps across each other. Then we can do the same as we did in the back with the bottom two straps. Now that all the straps are connected, we can go through and tighten 'em all up and there's gonna be one more thing to do on the corners here. So really short straps. Their not gonna do a whole lot but might as well connect them. It's just gonna protect those corners. Keep it a little bit tighter than it was if we weren't to hook these up. Most likely you're gonna have to pull it all the way, especially if it covers a little bigger, but we're gonna have that for all of the four sides on the bottom and also on top. May as well protect your investment whenever you're storing it. And that's pretty much it for a look at the ADCO Olefin HD cover..

Adco Olefin HD RV Cover for Class A Motorhomes up to 31' Long - All Climate + Wind - Gray - AD44ZR

I'll start out with the good. The cover fit excellent. The straps snugged up, the zipper access lined up perfectly and was generally easy to put on.
The bad is the cover has came apart in several spots, mostly corners and the satellite antenna area. None of these are sharp but for whatever reason it just rubbed right through. Cover was put on not quite a year ago and held up to the Minnesota winter seemingly fine but seasonal change wasn't kind too it.
I think the takeaway from this would be it would probably be good for 6 months or less but not beyond that.

Something you can do to help prevent wear and tear on edges and corners is line them with a pool noodle. That way, even if its not sharp to begin with, it is a rounded soft edge that will be less likely to poke a hole so easily.

This is a great cover. It’s our second Adco cover and this one is even better than the first one which lasted for several years. It’s a couple feet longer than our MH but overall fits well and stays in place well. I am really pleased with this cover and am glad I got another Adco and believe it will likely last another several years.

Its been a year and we are still happy with our cover. It does tear easier than we thought it would, so we have had to use some of the material that came with the cover on 2 or 3 spots to ensure the tears do not spread. Still happy and hoping it will last for many more years.

The website said this cover would fit my specific motorhome - An Entegra Vision 27A, which is 30' long 8.5' wide and 12'5" high including A/c and satellite. This cover is supposed to be "up to 31' long", but overlaps in the front and back at least 2' and doesn't reach all the way to the bottom of the coach. I'm afraid it might tear if I tighten the bottom straps too much. A couple of them barely reach all the way underneath the coach. Otherwise, it was fairly easy to put on and take off.

The dimensions of this cover are 31 feet long x 8 feet 10 inches wide x 9 feet 6 inches tall. I checked and we do not have a taller one to offer.

Absolutely thrilled with this RV cover. It was easy to put on, clearly marked with Front and Rear to assist with proper orientation. The straps are great for securing the cover. Very pleased with the cover and the protection it will provide the RV when parked for extended periods.

I have a 2018 Lance 1995. This is the right size cover for this trailer. This is a good universal type cover ,but it is not a custom fit. This cover looks like it will work fine, but since the trailer has a curved from section it does not fit as well in the front as it does in the back. I have had to use bungee cords to help take up the slack and make a area for water to drain off the roof. I had to decide to either cover the propane tanks or the read bumper. I chose the tanks. If you get the next size up there will be too much cover and you will have issues dealing with the extra material. This cover is just long enough to reach the bottom of the siding with no extra material. It was arrived quickly from E Trailer. I suggest watching the installation video. It was helpful.

by:

2 people installed the cover today in a light wind. I am a mechanical designer. I am not receiving any compensation for this review. This is our first cover going on our first RV. We ordered/received the the 22' long cover for the trailer which measures ~22' bumper to hitch ball plus some for the spare tire on the bumper. I am happy with the fit though it looks like it would fit a trailer whose "box" is about 3' longer and still go over the tanks and spare tire. I thought the ordering instructions said to include the tanks in the front and the bumper/spare tire in the back when determining the length.

There were no instructions except to "dull" sharp corners. The little foam tubes went on the gutter ends and I used black tape around sharp points on the bottom.

The only bad thing about the cover are the buckles/buckles: they worked but 1) they are too light duty, too weak, and the sections too thin in my opinion and 2) the design stinks because I want to hold the female end right where you press to release the buckle which was annoying but I figured out how to do it and it was more awkward than it needed to be considering other similar buckle types.

I got on the roof to pull the cover over from the side (not the front or back) over the ac, tv antenna, bathroom vent, etc and that worked well. It was too hard to pull the cover over the first top corner with me on a ladder and wife on the ground. If I could not get on the roof, we both would need to be on ladders. Or tie a rope to the straps and try to pull it over the top. Maybe try to pull it over from the front.

The fit is very good: good width, more than enough length and good height. I am glad the height was no taller so as to keep it from wrapping around the bottom which is sharp and the trim ends are sharp. We connected the underneath straps first, then the front and back then cinched the top and bottom corners to pull the whole thing tight along the perimeter.

All of the buckles are the same so I was able to repurpose some straps to wrap around the spare tire and bumper and connect to some other buckles for a better tie down arrangement. I would have liked a strap in the front middle to tie down under the tanks.

Otherwise, there are just the right number of straps underneath. I don't think more would help and less would make me nervous.

There are 2 flaps zipped on one side for a door at the front and/or the rear. I unzipped the front flap, sloppily rolled it up and attached the 3 velcro straps that hold the roll up. I had to undo 1 bottom strap from the flap so I need to rereview this after we have a good wind/rain storm but I think it will be ok. See pics. The trailer is parked in between a tree, shrubs, the house and the neighbors house so it is somewhat protected from some wind. Someone else may need to add a tie along the side bottom to take the place of the rolled up flap. When the flap is down, zipped, it is velcro'd at the bottom to the cover.

The perimeter cinch straps have a sleeve layered on top of the sleeve the strap is in which is great for 2 reasons. 1) you can stick your finger in it to grab it to push the cover back and pull out the strap, then 2) you can regrab it while pulling the strap through the buckle and keep the stress off the strap. This will keep the strap from scrapping and wearing while pulling through the buckle. I took pics and a video of this. And 3), this is another sleeve you can run a line through if needed.

Overall, I am very happy with this cover! It is reasonably thick material, aerated and the holes are covered with a flap to keep rain out, has a lot of straps which are well attached to the cover. The installation went better than expected at ~ 45 minutes and next time I expect to do it in half the time. The door access is a great feature. The cover went over the spare tire and the dual 20 lb tanks plus batteries in the front. One of the pics has the trailer model so you can see for yourself how well this cover fits this trailer. I expect this cover to last until a sharp corner some place tears a hole or the sun finally gets to it. The cover comes with a bag but I have not used it yet. And found a piece of velcro but not sure what for.

PS: Finally looked at the storage bag and found the instructions, self adhesive material to fix holes and weights that can be attached to the straps to throw underneath the vehicle (not over b/c the weight could break a window or make a dent) in a side pocket.

by:

The quality and fit are very nice. For reference, my Outdoor RV measured 20'10" and additional 16" for the spare tire for total 22'2" Plenty of room to install. The roof fabric was ample for the AC unit. Also noted the cover is full grey material and the white top is added over the grey to make the roof double thick which is a nice bonus. Please note that the manufacturer's paperwork says this cover is NOT water proof.

by:

Installed per video and first time worked out well. Video implied weighted straps for tossing under trailer and a storage bag were to be included, although neither were nor was that mentioned in description. Would have been nice, though if they had. It installed well and covered trailer as it should. Only time will tell how well it will hold up but I am pleased so far.

by:

This review is for fit and installation. The fit is good. Just a little short. Installation is easy. Took about an hour. I will review again in the spring as to the condition of the cover and camper.

by:

Just installed our new cover which replaces an older ADCO cover. Installation was easy and it fits great with a little room to spare. We have a 30 ft Cougat 26rls. Material quality seems to have improved.

by:

Absolutely love this cover. I am 62, and was able to put this cover on myself (even being afraid of heights)! The gutter guards are a great addition and will prevent snags and or rips. Taking it off- I’ll ask for help, so the corners don’t get snagged on the lower ends. Great product thus far. I called and spoke w Ms Paula when I first ordered this cover, bc my camper is not as wide as most, but it is 20’. Had extra length, so I covered the propane cover and my hitch.

by:

After one year already is tearing quite a bit. I've only put it on/off about 6-7 times in the past year. Also interestingly, my solar panels are still able to get power even with cover on so undoubtedly it reduces the UV light quite a bit its not completely. Though I don't mind so much as it kinda trickle charges the batteries. This is being used on a 2022 Ember Overland 190MDB

by:

I sent my friends the link for the instructional video and in true guy fashion they said it was so easy they didn’t even hafta watch it. My 3 guy friends put it on in 25 minutes. “Good product, I’d totally have one if I owned an RV”, “Everything we needed (straps/padding) was included.” It fit great over my Starcraft Autumn Ridge 245DS. While I wasn’t involved in the process, they all assure me it went smoothly.

by:

Nice cover. I ordered next size bigger and was able to fit over propane tank, battery holder and hitch, completely covered. Lots of straps for securing tight. Comes with extra patches in case of tears, gutter spout covers, ladder top cover, weighted straps, ok instructions, and storage bag. So far, no problems. Hopefully last several years as these covers are expensive.

by:

The cover seemed HUGE while installing it! The ingenious number of buckles & straps allowed us to pull it up tight & even cover the propane tanks & hitch. Our trailer is not very tall, so the cover rolled under & we don’t expect it to balloon in the wind like the cheap used cover that came with our used Casita. The double seams look very durable.
The attached pics are to show how easy it was to protect against sharp corners & potential rub areas. (This is not a Folgers commercial, haha.) These pics (saved with bag & paperwork) will also remind us next Fall what we did!
There are 2 sharp metal pieces on the roof behind our awning—-we cut out the bottom of a red plastic can, sliced the side, & popped those over & used twine to avoid them slipping.
The square ends of the rear bumper got 2 more plastic cans (green).
The front hitch crank took a red coffee can & the very front is protected with a milk carton. The step needed some styrofoam scraps for the sharp corners.
The prairie pic just shows how small the trailer is, and the fully covered pic is not too helpful because the trailer is parked in a small fenced area.
If you need any further explanation don’t hesitate to contact us.
Thanks for a great product. Hope I say that again after a Montana winter!

by:

This cover looked great and actually stayed on and protected the trailer but completely fell apart after 7 months. The area that was exposed to the sun completely disintegrated. Adco honoured the 2 year warranty and sent me a new one. I think that it will do exactly the same as the first one. I keep my trailer in the Palm Springs area and summers get extremely hot c/w high winds.Bottom line it did protect my trailer.

by:

It has served its purpose, but it's longevity is questionable. It is showing signs of wear along the roof area where it rubs on the AC units. I added plumbing pipe insulation along the ladder to prevent holes. There were only 4 down spout covers and I need 10, so I again used plumbing insulation to fab the extras. Two of the strap quick connector female ends broke on the first use, and you must be gentle with the fabrick to keep from tearing it. It is an attractive cover, the size was correct and it's relatively easy to install and remove for such a large cover. I'm certain that if it was heavier material, installation and removal would be more difficult. Overall, I would rate it a 3.5 out of 5. I anticipate that it will last through the end of this summer, about a 1 yr 6 mths.

by:

Cover installed easy enough and initially appeared to be of good quality. However, the cover lasted only one winter (22-23) before it started to tear. In the spring of 23 when I took the cover off, the tears were minor and the cover was still usable. I put it back on my fifth wheel in November 23. Unfortunately it tore in half at the beginning of March 24. Bottom line, if you want to pay nearly $[XX] for a cover that will probably last only one winter, this cover will likely work for you. I will not be purchasing another, however.
