Furrion's 4G LTE WiFi router and rooftop antenna provide you with strong, stable internet, TV, and radio signals in your RV. With Furrion's pay-as-you-go data plans, you can pick up 4G LTE for your devices while on the move, similar to how your cell phone data plan works. The network account is private and secure and can be accessed and managed through the free Furrion app.
Rooftop Antenna
Omnidirectional antennas radiate power equally in all directions. This makes it easier to pull in signals from anywhere, no matter which direction your adventures take you. With Furrion's rooftop antenna, the dual-antenna wing is not only omnidirectional, but also includes a built-in amplifier. The amplifier acts as a booster and minimizes interference with the incoming signals, providing strong and stable signals to your electronic devices.
The internal design of the antenna features Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and micro-electronics. This means that the circuits and electronics used are smaller, printed directly onto both sides of the circuit board, utilizing more space. This allows Furrion to insert better, stronger electronics.
The durable construction of the antenna is lightweight and aerodynamic. Even though it is not retractable, the design will help cut down on wind resistance. It also has an IP65 rating, which means it is resistant to dust, water, and UV rays.
4G LTE WiFi Router
The Furrion router connects you to the internet primarily through 4G LTE signals, but you can also tap into external WiFi and save your data for when you are in more remote areas. The automatic switch can be activated to move between 4G and WiFi whenever you come in contact with external WiFi signals.
The router also supports LAN (Ethernet) and GPS systems, and receives VHF, UHF, FM, and AM frequencies.
Furrion App and Data Plans
The Furrion app - available for iOS and Android devices - lets you access your account and manage your data plan. The data plans are pay-as-you-go, which means that you have the ability to add to your plan month by month, allowing you to decide how much data you need for your travels. These plans are available nationwide and do not require annual or service contracts.
Please note: the WiFi router will only accept Furrion Access data plans. Any other networks will not be able to connect to the router.
Installation
Many new RVs today have Furrion's rooftop antenna pre-installed. But if your RV does not have this antenna already, adding it to your setup is simple.
If you do not have a hole from an existing antenna, drill a hole approximately 2 inches in diameter to feed the antenna wires through. The antenna wing detaches from the mounting base so you can easily attach the base to the rooftop and then reattach the wing. On the inside of your RV, the mounting bracket installs onto the ceiling, and the detachable box slides off so you can slide on the router. That's all it takes to power on the router, and if you want to completely turn it off, simply remove it from the ceiling mount bracket.

Omnidirectional antenna receives signals from any direction. It worked great till the antenna wing broke and blew off the camper while on a highway. Furion did send a replacement wing but it was winter. We had to wait for spring in order to install the wing. Check the wiring to the router and found the router burned up. Must have happened when the antenna blew apart and pulled out the wiring. We asked Furion for a new replacement router, but they didn't respond. We bought a new router off [online] for a couple hundred dollars less than the cost on etrailer. Currently we are waiting for the replacement router. Crossing our fingers this fix it so we can test the wifi.
It's ok, but not worth the cost The Furrion wifi data plan for 10 GB is almost $XX.00 and in most cases will not last during a five day trip. Additionally the data plan does not rollover to the next month. If you do not use it, you lose it!
