Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at the base camp, portable camping shower. This is a very simple idea. Basically you just fill this out with water, lay it out in the sun. This black PVC material will absorb that solar heat and heat up the water.

So that within about three hours, you'll have a nice warm shower. So it's very easy to operate, just fill it up with water. It'll hold about five gallons, then you'll just hang up from a high enough vantage point, whether that's up in the tree or something like that, so that you can then use the included hose and shower head to wash yourself off. One thing to keep in mind, this does not offer a whole lot of privacy. So you will want to be mindful of where you are hanging it up to take your shower.And like I said, it takes about three hours to get this heated up if you have it sitting out in the sun.

But once you're done with it, it's going to compact very easy so it should be very easy to store. So, especially for those of you who are backpacking or trying to be very minimalistic in what you're taking out with you, this is going to be easy thing to throw in your bag. Fill it up with water in a stream or something like that and then let it sit out to heat up. Speaking from experience, going on long camping trips without a whole lot of bathing opportunities, it would be nice to have something like this, just to rinse yourself off and start fresh again. The top of the bag here is reinforced with a PVC tube.

So it's going to hold that weight well, you're not going to have to worry about it ripping through.So it should do a good job for you. Our overall dimensions, it's right about nine and a quarter of an inch wide by 13 and a half inches tall. So, again, we'll do a good job of making sure that you have enough water in there. It holds about five gallons so depending on how long of a shower you're planning on taking, that'll give you at least a little bit of water. So if you're wanting an easy, convenient way of taking a shower along with you while you're out hiking or camping, this is going to be a great option.
