Hi, everyone! It's Evangeline and today we'll be taking a look at our Kelty Biggie Blanket. So, this is a size up from the Bestie Blanket, ideal for if you're camping outdoors, or you need something nice and comfy inside of your tent. Let's take a look at some of the features this has. So, you do have some color or design options with this blanket too, depending on your style. So, you can get some that are like teal and orange, or green and white, or something like this, which is blue, white, and what some people call, red, I call orange. Either way, they all work the same.

Just pick one which matches your style a bit more. So, why get an outdoor blanket like this Why don't just use your throw blankets or quilts from home Well, I use quilts a lot. When I go traveling, they can be heavy and I have to commit to it. This one is a lot lighter, but you still get the large size that the Biggie Blanket offers and since you have that Cloudloft fill on the inside, you still stay warm, even warmer than you would with your thinner blankets of the same weight. You're gonna have two sides to the blanket, the outside, or I guess the top side with a pattern, has a sleeping bag material.

So, this is actually gonna be a polyester material, great for if you wanna carry this outside, put it out on the ground, you have your shoes on it, you can see it doesn't track dirt. You just wipe it off and you're ready to go again. But on the inside, we have a softer material. So, this is gonna be what's touching your skin or since it is a Biggie Blanket, you and your friend's skin. We have an almost quilted material here, so this feels kind of like a cotton blanket on top of you.

What always impresses me with Kelty's blankets is the construction. You can see here how the edges are sewn, they're very nice and deep. We have this quilted stitch because of that insulation, it keeps everything in but it's nice and evenly layered or spread out. The dimensions of the blanket itself, is 6 feet and 10 inches tall and 6 feet and 8 inches wide. As you can see, I'm a smaller person, so I couldn't really show this off, but we have Zach here, who's holding it up, and he's 6'3", so you can see how you and your friend definitely have space with this blanket.

This has a stuff stack included, so that way, you can make this a bit more compact, easy to carry, when you're ready to hit the road again. I prefer, or actually, I refuse to get sleeping bags or blankets that don't have a stuff sack, just because this makes it so much easier. You don't have to roll it up, fold it up, just the right way, you just stuff it into the bag. Once you have it fully stuffed in, we are almost there, we just have a little bit more to go. It is a larger blanket. You then have a cinch strap, so that's gonna cinch around the top and you also have this flap that goes on top. So, just like this, you have an easy to carry blanket, ready to go when you're ready to go. So, the stuff sack itself is about 9 inches wide by 16 inches long. And that means you can store this with your hiking pack, if you can fit it around, there we go. So, once it's in there, since this is an outdoor blanket, you don't have to worry about the dirt and debris gathering on your sleeping bag, you just cinch you into the place, and you're ready to hit the trails. So, my personal thoughts about the Biggie Blanket is I like the durability and I like the comfort. It's definitely for the people who enjoy the Bestie Blanket but wanted to size up, so that they could share that experience with their hiking or camping friends. So, if you want an outdoor blanket, that's lightweight, doesn't weigh you down, is rugged, and is comfortable, that's what the Bestie or the Biggie Blanket is for.
