These hard-plastic mud flaps are more rigid and less likely to sail than rubber splash guards. The wide flaps will protect your vehicle, towed gear, and other cars on the road from rocks and debris, and they are able to cover many dually tires.

These truck or trailer mud flaps are 3/16" thick and constructed of polymer, or hard plastic, which is more rigid than rubber and won't sail in the wind. The durable construction can withstand subfreezing temperatures, so these flaps won't get brittle when the rain turns to snow and ice. And despite being more stiff than rubber, these flaps still have enough give to bend rather than break if they hit something on the road.
If you're simply replacing your mud flaps and you already have mounting brackets in place, just line up the pre-drilled holes on these flaps with your mounting plate and reuse your existing hardware. If the holes don't quite line up, you can easily drill new ones.
If you're installing mud flaps for the first time, you'll need to purchase mounting plates (sold separately) and weld them onto your truck or trailer to create attachment points for the flaps. To ensure the most secure attachment, add on bolt hole reinforcement plates (337MFW2375) to keep the flaps from tearing away from the mounts.

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Buyers Products mud flaps. These are going to be made of a durable, white polymer material. We do get two flaps, so we'll have one for either side of our vehicle. That polymer construction keep the mudflaps hanging down. It's fairly stiff, so it should do a good job of protecting your vehicle from any impacts from road debris like rocks, bits of asphalt and such. And it's also of course, keep our vehicle free of mud as well. Each of our flaps measures about 24 inched wide.
The one I have here is measuring closer to 24-1/4 and then they're be about 18 inches tall. This one is about 18-1/2 inches. The distance between our mounting holes, center to center is about seven inches each, so seven, seven, seven. And each flap is about an 1/8th inch thick. One accessory that I would suggest picking up to go with these, would be a mounting plate.
That's just going to sandwich your mudflap in between that plate and the trailer or your bumper or wherever you're mounting these to.And obviously give a little extra stiffness to the top to make sure that those holes don't get waddled out over time. But they are able to withstand sub-freezing temperatures so we can use them even in the winter months, up north or wherever we might be. They should be able to withstand road salt and other things we'll encounter out on the road without any issues so they would be good for all year-round use. They are made in the USA, have just a plain finish and come in white. That's going to do it for the Buyers Products mudflaps.
