Jeff: Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a look at this Taylor Made half inch diameter, 15 foot long, double braid, nylon dock line. Now when you needed to tie your boat up to your dock, or your mooring, this 15 foot long half inch diameter dock line is up to the task.Just want to zoom in to show you close. It's a nice, durable, flexible, double braided nylon, which is long lasting. And this is resistant to oil, grease, gasoline, and most chemicals. And this can be stored wet or dry without mildew buildup.
On this one end here you can see it has a nice spliced eye loop end, which is stronger than a typical knot. So this allows someone on the dock to easily connect the end to a cleat or a piling on the dock. The other end of this, you can see as a whipped fitter end, and it's the end of the line that's adjusted on board the boat.Now you can see that's a nice bright blue color. Few specs, again, the length is 15 feet, diameter is a half an inch. Now it is recommended that an eighth inch of line diameter for every nine foot of boat length, so this one being a half inch, the application this is for is for boats up to 32 foot long.
Now, basically if your boat's located in a windy area or an area of rough sea conditions, it's a good idea to choose the next bigger line diameter. Tensile strength on this is 7,850 pounds. Taylor is a top of the line name. I got a fantastic deal on them and they are great. Can't go wrong with Taylor made. I have always had great experiences with etrailer. Great. Easier to handle than the last mooring lines that came with the boat. Match the cockpit cover perfectly. You can just see one of the bow lines.
Bought four of these. They store nice in a coil. Handy when needed to tie up at dock
