Today we're going to review part number AUT2-GMC2-C. This is the Au-TOMOTIVE GOLD GMC Trailer Hitch Cover for inch and a quarter hitches, stainless steel, with the chrome and red finish. Now this is an officially licensed GMC logo hitch cover. It's designed to slide into your inch and a quarter hitch receiver. Besides looking nice, it will also help keep any dirt and help prevent rust in your hitch receiver. It is a chrome plated ABS plastic outlined logo and faceplate, and a UV-resistant red painted lettering, and it's all attached to a polished stainless steel base, which gives a mirror-like shine, and helps resist rust and corrosion. It is a one-piece riveted construction, there's no assembly required.
Uses a hitch pin and clip or hitch lock that we do sell separately or if you already have one, you can use that. This part is made in the USA. If you notice on the side of the bracket here, there's four holes drilled, so you basically just slide this in and get the best one to line up with your hole and put your pin and clip or your hitch lock in. Specs on this, the application again is inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter hitch receivers and it does come with a lifetime warranty. Does not fit the factory Terrain hitch. Too loose. I will have to find some rubber to make a cutout that will fill up the space.

Well made really stands out, stainless mount, plastic emblem sturdy, fits 1 1/4" hitch
One wonders why all covers made for 1 1/4" with and adapter for 2" so there would be no need for 2 sizes. I attached it to my E Trailer hitch on my Corvette. Yes a tow hitch on a Corvette for bike rack.

This is the second time I have purchased a trailer hitch from this company. I only had to replace this product because I was rear ended a few weeks ago by another driver. The tow bar took all the damage and while it had to be replaced, it protected the back of my jeep from further impact.

I had a cheap rubber cover but it either blew off in the wash or got stolen. With a locking pin this one should stay put. Makes a nice little enhancement to my vehicle and shows pride in having served our country. Glad it arrived in time for display this "Veterans Day".

- Removing a Broken GMC Hitch Cover from a Trailer HitchA trailer hitch cover can be held into a hitch receiver in a couple of ways. First, some have a built-in device that is sort of like a wishbone. On those you would just pull out the cover. Second they can be held in with a hitch pin and clip or hitch lock. For a regular hitch pin you would pull off the clip, remove the pin, and pull out the hitch over. On a lock you would unlock it and pull out the pin (some lock have to be unscrewed). If there isn't enough of the hitch cover left to grab...
