Today we're going to review part number AUT-GMC2-G, this is the Automotive Gold Stainless Steel GMC trailer hitch cover for 2" hitches with the gold and red color. Now hitch covers look pretty cool but they do more than just accessorize your vehicle. These GMC hitch covers will help keep dirt out of your receiver, prevent rust so that you can easily install the ball mount or other hitch accessories into your hitch when you need them. You can see this is the officially licensed GMC logo hitch cover. It has a nice gold finish, ABS plastic that outlines the logo and the face plate. The letter right here is a UV resistant red painted lettering on the GMC and you can see underneath it it's attached to the polished stainless steel base which gives a mirror like shine and helps resist rust and corrosion. On the very back you can see the shank that goes into the receiver is a one piece riveted construction. There's no assembly required when you receive this. It comes just like this ready to install.
Now when you do install this, it does require a hitch pin and clip or a hitch lock. We do sell those separately on our website. If you already have one you could use yours. If you need to purchase them again, we sell them separately and they're usually listed on this product page as a related product. Also you'll notice on the shank itself, it has multiple hitch pin holes and these are to accommodate your different hitch receivers. This part is made in the USA and, again, the application is for 2" by 2" trailer hitch receivers. Just to give you an idea of the size of the hitch cover itself, the diameter on this cover is 4". That should do it for the review on part number AUT-GMC2-G.

One wonders why all covers made for 1 1/4" with and adapter for 2" so there would be no need for 2 sizes. I attached it to my E Trailer hitch on my Corvette. Yes a tow hitch on a Corvette for bike rack.
This is the second time I have purchased a trailer hitch from this company. I only had to replace this product because I was rear ended a few weeks ago by another driver. The tow bar took all the damage and while it had to be replaced, it protected the back of my jeep from further impact.

I had a cheap rubber cover but it either blew off in the wash or got stolen. With a locking pin this one should stay put. Makes a nice little enhancement to my vehicle and shows pride in having served our country. Glad it arrived in time for display this "Veterans Day".
The chrome cover looks great and was easy to install. We wanted to replace the rubber OEM factory hitch cover with something more stylish. This purchase exceed expectations!

Excellent quality. Looks like new one-year later. Highly recommended. You can see in photo the mirror like shine as it reflects the concrete below and the grass beside my driveway. Looks cool.
