Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this CURT Dark Gray Custom-Fit 5th Wheel Installation Kit for the Ram Trucks. Now this is a custom-fit part. It is designed to fit the 2013 Ram 2500 trucks and also the 2013 and newer Ram 3500 trucks without the OEM prep package. Now, because this is a custom-fit part, I do like to recommend for you to go to our website, use the Fit Guide.
Put in your year and model vehicle, and it'll show if this will work for your application. Now these are custom brackets on the side here that are designed to mount beneath your truck bed, and, as you can see, they provide the attachment points for these 5th wheel rails. Basically, these base rails are what'll sit in your truck bed and allow you to install the 5th wheel trailer hitch to your truck. Now the mounting brackets on the side. If we zoom in on those, you can see right here.
These are custom-fit brackets. They are designed to mount to existing holes in your vehicle's frame. You can see the holes in the brackets. And because of that, it'll minimize any drilling, and the installation time is cut in half compared with Universal Bracket Systems. Now this is a complete kit.
It includes the mounting brackets we just mentioned, the base rails, and the mounting hardware to install everything. Even comes with a nice set of instructions that'll describe how it all goes together. Now these rails themselves, when they're installed, these will be visible in the truck bed. These here have a dark gray finish to match the dark gray finish of your 5th wheel hitch. And these rails are industry-standard rails, which means they're compatible with the B&W, the CURT, the Draw-Tite, Hidden Hitch, Husky, and Reese, above bed 5th wheel trailer hitches.
