Speaker 1: Today we're going to take a look at 12-LED surface mount strobe light, with the clear lens, and the clear and amber LEDs. Now, this strobe light is installed in a nice aluminum housing. It's rated IP67, for water and dust resistance. Common use for this light is on pickup trucks, work trucks or trailers. It's a nice black aluminum base, with the clear lens and 6 amber and 6 clear LEDs.The LEDs make great replacements for incandescent lights. They last about 50 times longer, and they're more efficient, because they'll provide brighter light with less power output, and of course, no bulbs to replace, no brittle filaments.Now this light does offer 25 flash patterns and a simultaneous or alternating function.

Does use a blunt cut wiring connection. You can see the wire's about 8" long. They do have 4 wires. The black wire is for your ground, red wire's for you power, white wire is for low power, and then the yellow is for synchronization and alternating flash. I'm going to hook this up to some 12V power at the end of this video, and I'll explain about the flash portion of it.This is a surface mount design.

It includes a nice foam gasket, mounting screws to install it, for simple installation. Does offer an optional rubber grommet or 90 degree mounting bracket, which we do sell separately on our website. It's listed on this product page as a related product. Just to show you that, I'm happened to pull that. Here's the rubber grommet portion, if you want to do a grommet mount.

The light will just pop in there, simple like that. Again, that's sold separately on our website. The other one is the 90 degree mounting bracket. You can see, it's aluminum mounting bracket that you can just mount this to.Again, this is 12 LEDs. The voltage is 12 to 24V.

Amperage is 2.2 amps, at 12V. Few dimensions on this light, the overall length of it, end to end, is right at 5'-1/4". Heighth on it, going to be right at 2" tall. The depth of it is only 3/4".What I'm going to do now is hook this to the 12V power. As I mentioned earlier, I'm going to explain. What we're going to do is, I'll hook up the black for the ground. Then we'll hook up the red wire, which is the power. Now, if you want to hook up low power, that would be the white wire, but the yellow wire is one of the main wires, because that'll control the synchronization or the alternating flash patterns. Basically, what you would do is, right now when I turn it on, I'm going to leave just the two wires hooked up, the black and the red, and it'll show you the flash pattern, how bright it is.Then, if you take this yellow wire, when it's on, I'm going to touch the power wire. When you do that, it'll change the flash pattern. Each time you do that, it'll reset it. Also, the yellow wire is used for synchronization. If you have multiple of these lights on your trailer or truck, and you want them all to flash the same way, just connect all your yellow wires together. That'll give you the synchronization of the flash pattern.Right now, we'll go ahead and turn on our 12V power, and you can see there's your 6 clear LEDs and 6 amber LEDs. Go ahead and turn off the overhead lights. You see how bright it is. The bottom row is the amber, top is the clear. What I'm going to do now is, I'll touch the yellow wire. You can see, after I've touched it, it changed it to a different pattern. Touch it one more time, gives you another pattern, and one more time, gives you another different pattern. You see how bright it is using 12 LEDs.We'll go ahead and turn back on our overhead lights, turn off our power, but that should do it for the review on the 12-LED surface mount strobe light, with the clear lens and the clear and amber LEDs.
