Installation
This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located in the rear cargo area. You will have to remove the floor covering and rear interior trim panels to access this harness.
Once you've plugged in the T-connector, run the hot lead up to your car battery. Connect the lead to the included fuse holder, and then connect the fuse holder to the positive terminal on your battery and insert the provided fuse.
Once installation is complete, the 4-way flat connector will be stowed in your rear cargo area.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.
A ModuLite power module is built into this T-One connector. Because most trailers run on a two-wire system - wherein the brake and turn signals are carried on one wire - the separate brake and turn signals from your vehicle's three-wire system need to be combined so they are compatible with the wiring system of your trailer. This power module functions as a tail light converter to combine the brake and turn signal functions of your automobile so that they run on one wire to properly activate your trailer's tail lights. Note: This will not affect how the tail lights on your vehicle operate.
With a ModuLite, your trailer's lights will be powered without overloading your vehicle's electrical system. Because the module draws power directly from your car's battery and bypasses the electrical routes that are used by a basic wiring harness, there is virtually no draw on your tail light circuits.

Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna ake a look at this T1 vehicle wiring harness with the four way flat trailer connector. Now this is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 2020 and newer Hyundai Venue vehicles. And on a custom fit part like this I always like to recommend for you to go to our website and use the fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle and it'll show if this'll work for your application. Now, this provides this four way flat trailer connector at the back of your vehicle.
Power your trailer's signal lights. It is compatible with five pole, six pole and seven pole adapters that we do sell separately. And this harness does connect very quickly and easily. You just locate your connection points which are in the rear cargo area. Plug in these T connectors, there's two of them.
So one goes on the driver, one goes on the passenger side. Ground your white wire right here and then this extra wire here's your power wire. This will go to your vehicles battery at the front of your vehicle. Now this harness does include this black box which is the ModuLite. And this is to ensure that your vehicles wiring will match that of your trailer.
It is a power module, connects directly to the vehicles battery to avoid overloading your vehicle's electrical system. And if you notice the wiring with the four way on it, that goes out the back, it is a 16 gauge bonded wire. It does come with, you can see the integrated dust cover. So when you're not plugged into a trailer put your dust cover on there and it'll protect those terminals from the elements or from any damage. A few specs on this, maximum amperage for the stop and turn light circuits is five amps per circuit, for the taillights 7.5 amps per circuit.
And it does come with everything laid out here on the table. I just wanna go through it real quickly to show you how it installs. It's pretty simple. It does come with a nice set of instructions that'll describe how to install it, with pictures. But as we mentioned, you'll go to the rear cargo area, go behind the taillights and get the taillight harness. And then you'll start with the driver's side. And that's the T connector that has the yellow wire in it. So you'll go ahead and unplug the harness and plug this into that harness. We'll take the other T one connector here and it's the green and red wire that's for the passenger side. You can see it's a longer length of wire. So that'll run over to your passenger side and same way unplug your harness and plug this into it. Once that's all set this black box here, the ModuLite box, you do want to attach that to a flat surface so it doesn't bounce around. And then it comes with this piece of dual face tape here that you can peel off, put it on there and stick it to where you want. If you don't feel secure with that they do have a tab here with a hole in it that you put a screw through there to secure it if you want. And then you'll take your wire here with the four way, run it out towards the back. And you'll have two remaining wires the white wire and the black wire, the white wire you can see has an eyelid on it. So you'll connect that to a good clean ground. If there's one nearby, if there isn't they do include this grounding screw that you can make your own ground. Once that's done then your remaining wire is your power wire. This just needs to run to the front of the vehicle, to the vehicle's battery. And they do give you this length of wire and the connectors to do that. So what you'll do is take a butt connector, put it on there attach it to one end of this and then run this wire all the way to the front. When you get to the front, you don't want to connect that wire directly to the vehicle's battery. You want to run it through this inline fuse holder to take the other butt connector. connect it to one side of the fuse holder, just like that. And on the other side of the fuse holder take your eyelet connector, connect that and then connect that to the battery. Once it's all connected, pop it open take the included 15 amp fuse push it into your inline fuse holder, just like that. Put your cap on it. Now your systems all ready to go. If you notice they do give you some extra cable ties to take up any slack in the wiring when you run it. But that should do it for the review on the T1 vehicle wiring harness with the four way flat trailer connector..

Quickly and easily install a 4-way trailer connector on your vehicle with this custom wiring harness. T-One connector plugs directly into existing wiring. Powered ModuLite reduces strain on wiring system.Everything fit fine. Hyundais have a plastic under-floor panel that makes wire-to-battery routing a bit easier than on my last car. Still, the person who figures out how to avoid routing a wire to the battery will definitely get my future business.
Received item in a timely manner and everything was included as described! Thank you for the great customer service!
