Installation
This custom-fit T-connector plugs into your vehicle's factory tow package wiring harness, which is located behind the rear bumper, on the passenger's side.
Once installation is complete, the 4-way connector will be stowed beneath your vehicle, near the trailer hitch. A mounting bracket (sold separately) is recommended to keep the connector secure.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plug on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

Comes neatly packaged with short and to the point instructions. Great product and great company to deal with. Will be dealing with etrailer in the future for a hitch for the wife's car.
My nephew's 2002 xtera was NOT equipt with factory tow package but the proper plug receptacle was still in the rear lighting harness, so we got this adapter harness rather than wiring a generic adapter in with tape and solder. Worked PERFECT and literally took TWO MINUTES to install! Thanks for a well engineered and very reasonably priced harness!
I just installed the hitch and wiring today and it was so easy. I didn't have to drop the spare tire or take the exhaust pipe off. Hitch fit great.

Worked fine. Since it is for a Nissan Xterra installation was easy. A suggestion if I may. Include or offer the split plastic armor with it as to protect the wiring from chafing and wearing through the insulation. Nice add on sale.
I was thrilled to find such an easym solution. It was exactly as described online so that i knew where to look for the factory connection. It was quite literally a snap to install!
This snapped right in place, trailer lights were perfect, found etrailer.com after Nissan dealer had no, nor knew of no Nissan part #. Shipped within 3 hours of placing order.

I added a plastic sheath to the wires to keep them from getting cut or banged up. Other than that, this product is fine.
Ordered on a Friday afternoon, it was here Monday. Plugged into the factory plug perfectly, even came with cable ties to for the cord.

Great. I wrapped the wiring around the arm which supports the bumper so that it doesn’t drag or anything. I use it about once every 3 months and it has never let me down
So easy, plug it in an your ready to go. Best money I ever spent and it didn't cost much of that!
