Speaker 1: Today we're going to take a look at the Hopkins Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness with the Four-Way Flat Trailer Connector. This is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 2013 and newer Nissan NV200s. On a custom fit product, I always like to recommend for you to go to our website, use our fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle, and it will show you if this will work for your application.This harness provides this four-way flat trailer connector at the back of your vehicle to power your trailer's signal lights. It is compatible with five-pole, six-pole, and seven-pole adapters that we do sell separately on our website. This does connect very quickly and easily.

Basically, you just locate your connection points which are in the rear cargo area behind the taillights. Plug in these connectors - one on each side. One of the driver's side, one of the passenger's side. Ground your white wire right here and then you'll have this red power wire that needs to run to the vehicle's battery.This harness does include this taillight converter. This black box right here.

This is to ensure that your vehicle's wiring will match that of your trailer. It is a powered module inaudible 00:01:00 connect directly to the battery and that's to avoid overloading your vehicle's electrical system. The terminals on this when you connect them is all protective connection terminals to help resist corrosion. It does come with a nice dust cover for the four-way. Basically, if you're not plugged into anything, you can just put that cover on.

That will protect the terminals from any damage or from the elements. It also comes with a package of terminal grease or dielectric grease and that is what you want to put on all of your electrical connections to help resist corrosion.The maximum amperage on this harness for this stop and turn light circuit is 4.2 amps per circuits. For the taillights, it's 7.5 amps total. Just briefly, how this installs, all you have to do again is go to the rear of the vehicle in the rear cargo area and gain access to behind the taillights. Start on the driver's side.

Take the connector here that will plug in behind the taillights on the driver's side. The driver's side connector will have the red and the yellow wire in it and then what you want to do is go over to the passenger side and you'll have this length of green wire with a connector on it. This will run all the way over to the passenger's side. Plug that in behind the taillights.Then your taillight converter here, this black box, you want to connect that to a or attach it to a good flat surface so it doesn't bounce around. They do give you some extra cable ties to attach it down with. Then you'll have two wires left. A white wire with the eyelet on it. That's for the ground. You want to connect that to a good lean ground if there's one nearby. If not, they do give you a grounding screw to make your own ground. Then the last wire, the red wire with the butt connector on it. That goes to your vehicle's battery so to run that to the front, they do give you this length of red wire. Connect one end of the length of wire to your butt connector. Run this all the way up to the front. When you get to the front, you don't want to connect this to the battery. You want to run it through this end line fuse holder so connect it to one side where the butt connector is. The other side of the fuse holder has an eyelet on it, that connects to the battery.Once that's all connected, just open it up. Take your included 15 amp fuse. There you go. Insert it in there. Put your cap on. Snap it shut and then your system is all ready to go. They do give you some extra cable ties to take up any slack in the wiring.
