Today we're going to be taking a look at the Hopkins plug in simple vehicle wiring harness with the 4 pole flat trailer connector. This product fits certain years of the Toyota Corolla. Now you can use the vehicle fit guide located at etrailer.com to ensure that this is a fit for your vehicle. This unit's going to provide a four way flat connector of the back of your vehicle to power your trailer's signal lights. This is compatible with five pole, six pole and seven pole adapters. Adapters are sold separately.

It's going to come with a dust cap for the four way flat connector. That way you can cover up the connection points when the plug's not being used. The unit also includes a taillight converter. This is going to ensure that your vehicles wiring matches that of your trailers. The powered module connects directly to the vehicle battery through the wiring to avoid over loading the vehicle's electrical system. Now this unit's designed to connect quickly and easily.

It does come with detailed installation instructions that are going to walk you through that process step by step. But basically what you'll need to do is locate the connection points in the rear cargo area and plug in your connectors. Now these connectors are custom fit for your vehicle. They're going to match up perfectly with the ports on the vehicle and they are going to snap lock together for a nice tight secure fit. The green wiring's going to favor the passenger side. The connectors with the yellow wiring's going to go to the drivers side.

Once you have those connected, you'll need to make a ground connection. That's your white wire with a ring terminal already attached to it. You want to get that grounded to a nice clean suitable grounding location. You can use the included self tapping grounding screw. Then you'll need to mount the converter box.

You can get this mounted to an alloy location using the included cable ties. There's a couple areas right here, one on each side that you can easily use to get it mounted. Then you'll need to run the hot lead to the vehicle battery. This wire right here is your hot lead. This gets connected to one end of the bundle. It's got the butt connector already attached to it. The other end of the bundle runs to the vehicle battery, connects to one half of the fuse holder here at the butt connector. The other half of the fuse holder has a ring terminal on there. That gets connected to the positive post of the vehicle battery. It does come with your 15 amp fuse, goes directly in the fuse holder. It's got the fuse cap that goes over to keep it safe and protected. Once the installation's complete, the four way connectors are going to be stowed in your rear cargo area or in the trunk of your vehicle. It is recommended that you use a small amount of terminal grease on all your electrical connections like the plugs on the vehicle and the four pole connector itself. The grease is designed to prevent corrosion and it is included with the kit.
