Covercraft SeatSaver shape diagram

The diagram above shows the shape of the seat covers included with this Covercraft SeatSaver set. Your vehicle's seats should match the shape of the seats in the diagram.

SeatSavers protect your vehicle seats without the inconveniences of typical seat covers. The SeatSavers are custom fit to your specific seats - so there's no sagging or rumpling - and they are constructed of durable, breathable fabric for lasting comfort.

SeatSaver covers slip on and off easily and protect your entire seat from dirt, children's messes, pets, harmful UV rays and everyday wear and tear. SeatSaver's custom-fit design also allows unrestricted access to adjustment knobs and seat belts.

Typical neoprene seat covers create a "sticky" effect in hot weather. But the SeatSaver seat protectors are made from a breathable poly cotton fabric that won't stick to you on hot summer days, even as the drill-weave construction ensures strong, durable covers.

The material is treated with a durable water repellency (DWR) finish that stops most spills from ever reaching your seats through the covers. And SeatSavers are easy to clean when accidents happen. Just pop the SeatSavers into the washer, throw them into the dryer and slip them back onto the seats.

Video Transcript for Covercraft Carhartt SeatSaver Custom Seat Covers Installation - 2017 Ram 1500

Hi, I'm Matt with etrailer. And today, we're talking about the Carhartt Covercraft SeatSaver Custom Seat Covers in our front seats of our 2017 Ram 1500. Now this may be a great option for you. If you find yourself constantly working outside, getting a lot of elements on you, whether that's dirt, mud, snow, and you wanna protect your seats and you're looking for something that's durable and gonna give you a really good fit on top of your seats, this is gonna be a great option for you. So let's take a closer look at 'em. This is gonna be a custom fit, so it's gonna cover all of your seat while not covering any of the items that are gonna allow you to use the features of your seat.

So you're still gonna be able to tilt it back and you're still gonna be able to go forward and backwards as well. It's gonna cover a little bit of the trim on the seats, but I don't really mind that at all. If anything, I do like it because I know all the cushions are being fully protected. You're not gonna have any interference with your seat belts and you're still gonna be able to take off your front headrest. What's also really nice about these seat covers is if you're a big fan of Carhartt, whether you like their coats, their clothing, and how strong and durable they are, this is gonna be made of the same fabric.

That's gonna be that duck weave material. So that's gonna make it very durable, very strong. It's going to be, it's not gonna get that tacky sticky film that you get from some other seat covers and it's gonna be water resistant as well. Now I know the material is very durable, but something to think about too are gonna be seams. that's gonna be one of the first places to really tear down when you do have a seat cover.

And with this, this is gonna be triple stitched and overlayed on top of each other. So what all that means is it's gonna be very durable and it's meant for people to be getting in and out of here really pulling and snagging on top of this. So it's gonna be able to withstand all of that. And if we come to the back, you'll notice we have this pocket here. This is gonna provide you a lot of extra storage if you need to put anything smaller, some stuff you just don't wanna lose.

Now I know on the seats we had today, they actually didn't have any pockets back here, so that's really nice. Not only is it not preventing you from accessing a pocket, but now you do have a pocket. Now the color we have today is gonna be gravel, so they're gonna fit in very nicely in the interior of our vehicle today. Now, if you're not a big fan of this color, we do have plenty of other options on our website. As for maintaining this, it's gonna be really easy. You can actually just pop it right into your washer or a dryer. They get 'em clean. Now to go off of that though, they are a little bit of a process to get on and off of here, so I wouldn't recommend doing that all the time. Now speaking of installing it, it is a fairly straightforward process. There's just a lot of hook and loop and other straps to secure it down. But if you need a hand with it, just stay tuned, I'll walk you through it. To start off the installation, we're just gonna prep our seat. We're just gonna tilt this back some, make getting the cover on here a lot easier later on. Next up, we're gonna remove this head rest just by pressing these two tabs underneath it and pulling it off. Since this does come in a set of two, you wanna make sure you grab the right one. When you install on the driver's side, you're gonna have this logo on here that says SeatSaver on the left hand side of it. Once you got it, you can start by putting on the driver's side one. We wanna make sure it's in the right orientation. So you wanna make sure this Carhartt logo is facing up. And now you're gonna grab it. You have this opening on the bottom and you're gonna wrap it around your seat and pull it over. We wanna make sure we have it over here too. You're not blocking these two holes at the top. At this point, I actually like to put my headrest back on here so I don't cover these holes back up. You just have to aim it back into place and push down on it and squeeze this tab so you can get it pretty close to the bottom. I wanna leave a little bit of a gap 'cause next up I'm gonna grab that headrest part. I like to start with the attached side with the hook and loop system right here and pull it around the face to backside. It can be a little bit tricky sometimes to get on. I haven't had any issues with it today though. You're just gonna tuck that back here and connect it to the backside where there's a other hook and loop system. Once all that's in place, we're going to lift up on the bottom part of this cover and reveal this strap. What we want to do is take off the male end of this clip, have it in hand, and run it through here. And with this prepped, we can run it through underneath the seat right at the seam. Pushing it all back here, and then we'll gain control of it underneath the seat when we wrap this all the way around. This next part is gonna be kind of hard to show, but what we're gonna be doing is that male part I had earlier, I'm gonna connect that to the female part and clip 'em together. You'll hear it snap into place and then you can even tighten it down by pulling on it. Our next step is gonna be cleaning everything up. So a big part of that is gonna be tucking in these pillows. You'll have this one on the side that we're gonna tuck underneath this trim. This one can be a little tricky to get underneath here. And after we have this in underneath here, you can come over here. There'll be a couple more pillows back here and we're gonna tuck these in this crease. Our last step is gonna be securing these hook and loop systems. You're gonna have a total of three, one on each corner of the back of the seat, and then you're gonna have another one in between the seat and the center console. And what I'd like to do is just apply a lot of pressure to this, make sure it's nice and tight, and bring it down as far as you can go. Try and get this a good tight fit. And here's gonna be that third hook and loop system. This one can be a little tricky to find and see. All you have to do is apply pressure, reach down pretty tight, and just press it against the side of the seat and it'll just hook against it. Once you have this installed, then you're gonna repeat that process on the other side. It's gonna be the exact same way. And you'll notice we still got some wrinkles in this, but the more you use this, the more that's gonna flatten out with time. But that was just a look at the installation and some of the features of the Carhartt Covercraft Custom Seat Covers in our 2017 Ram 1500.

I've had this rear seat cover for one year now and it's held up very well with two little kids. I would highly recommend.

My only recommendation for improvement is to allow for a little extra material for when the rear seats are reclined a little bit.

by:

Good quality material but not 5 stars because I had a fitment issue on my 2014 Ram 1500 Sport. On the driver seat, in the area that gets the most wear (the left edge), I can't get the seat portion to stay in place at the rear where it meets the seat back. See photo. The little hacky sack cloth ball intended to fit between seat cushion and seat shell is too far forward to hold the cover in place and it slips forward in the one place where protection is really needed. Seems like there should be a Velcro strap or something sewed to the cover to loop around the seat frame and hold it in place. If not for this. my rating would be 5 stars.

by:

The covered are great and I am happy with them. Only 4 stars, because the headrest covers are too small for the headrest. But super washable, stay in place, and do the job well.

by:

Great seat covers (used them for a year now), they are thick, durable and fit well. They seem to resist stains as long as you wipe it up quickly. I would recommend to a friend and purchase again.

by:

Traded the car these were purchased for back in march 23, but for the time I had it these covers did their job quite well, I would add that the quality is nearly as good as the equivalent Carhartt brand covers (Material is slightly thinner) but for avg use in a non work vehicle they are quite sufficient and at a much more economical cost.

by:

These are the best seat covers on the market. Great fit and look. Heavy duty and easy to install. I have them on both my RAV 4 and Highlander.

by:

I loved the seat covers they fit perfect. the material they are made is great

by:

One of the best materials I’ve ever had for seat covers, and that have lasted more than 2 months, very comfortable and washable.great product.THANK YOU

by:

I bought these seat covers for my 2018 Subaru Forester because I go to work in my community garden plot every day and did not want to get dirt on my car upholstery. After a year, the seat covers still look good and fit properly. I park outside and have not noticed any fading at all. Nor are there any signs of wear. I am very happy to have purchased them.

by:

This seat cover is poorly designed. There is not a strap on the front of the cover to prevent the cover from coming loose on the seat. As you side into the seat it comes loose every time when you get in the car normally. The only way it will stay on is to lift up your buttocks while getting in. I emailed Covercraft customer service about the problem, however I never received a response.

by:

Really wish I hadn't purchased these. They were for my year and make of vehicle, but they would not stay on the bottom seat. People or my dog getting in and out always untucked them. The arm covers will just slide on and off, so spent more time sliding them back all the way on.

by:

This is the third set of Seatsaver Seat covers that I have bought. They were great for my previous 2 vehicles. These are no exception. The figment guide says that it will not fit a 2010, but they fit my 2010 Jeep Commander great. I will keep buying them for all my vehicles. E trailer is great to deal with too. Great prices and fast shipping.

by:

I own a Honda Ridgeline and ordered the cotton back seat covers to protect our leather from the dogs. Fit is very good, a nice surprise given the complexity of the seats. Can't comment on durability yet, but the stitching looks tight.

by:

This is my 2nd set of 3rd-row canvas seat covers for my 2014 Escalade ESV. I got a good 2-3 years from the 1st set that I procured from etrailer.com. which was, in my perspective, an admirable duration, given that I have 5 dogs, 2 +125lb German Shepard and Rotty mixes, a 50lb English Bulldog, a 70lb Bassett Hound and a 25lb Pug.

My 2 big dogs practically live in the 3rd row seating area, as they pretty much go along with me on my daily travels. Drool, water, lots of shedding hair, mud and assorted particles of whatever mystery material they were traipsing through that day, all end up on those seat covers....

In fact, I currently have both the original and the replacement set of seat covers covering the 3rd row fold-away seats, as the perforated leather seat material is fairly thin and even with the durable canvas material of the seat covers, I still did incur a few rips of the underlying leather seat surfaces. So far, the double layer approach has withstood the daily abuse they inflict.

by:

The etrailer folks are outstanding! Great products, reviews, and customer service. This Covercraft SeatSaver is working out fine. I have two small children and wanted something under their car seats to protect the fabric seats. This product installs with mild to moderate difficulty, but stays in place perfectly. It has complete coverage of the bottom and back of the seat. It has withstood moderate abuse just fine. We haven't had to test whether it could stand up to a solid soaking, though.

by:

Best seat cover I have ever seen/used. Bought this for my parent's new Jeep Grand Cherokee with leather seats. They have a 100 pound lab that is the sweetest thing but at the same time is just destructive even in her sleep... LOL. Anyhow these covers fit perfect haven't budged in the slightest and the seats remain very protected. I will be buying these for all my new cars in the future! They are the "Weather Tech" of seat covers!

You sent the wrong seat covers

by:

These seat covers fit well and were quite easy to install. They are very durable and have withstood the one-year test of family and pet use.

by:

Rear seat covers fit/look /work great. Front pass seat, the same as rear. Driver's seat bottom cover for whatever reason, does not want to stay put. Left side by thigh area seems to keep sliding forward all the time. Don't recall previous covers (same product) doing this.. Annoying, yes, but still a great product!

by:

Thank you for the inquiry - nothing but love for the product utility and quality given the extreme circumstances they are subject to - that said I did have one suffer a small tear in the seat bottom - nothing a needle and HD thread from a canvas repair kit didn't make easy work if, but that said, I did suffer an underlying rip in the leather seat bottom, of which I do believe will be but a minor repair

Also, I experienced assorted fitment issues, again nothing too complex nor frustrating, but did require a bit of creativity to overcome the effects of 4 100lb dogs

Pictures attached to further clarify my comments

by:

E trailer is the bomb! Excellent service and products.

by:

Tough. Not the prettiest. Water proof I've prooven that. They've been cut and no damages to the seats. Now they are duct taped and still working. Excellent product and material.

by:

Please DO NOT buy this product for your Venza. There is NO WAY to keep them from slipping out of the bottom seat. I am so frustrated that I will be throwing them away!!! I bought them in July of this year.

by:

I did an online chat with August to find the correct seat covers to fit our 2022 Camper Van. She led me to the correct item and I ordered them on the spot. The seat covers arrived even before the estimated delivery date! We haven't installed them yet but we like the quality and it looks as though they will fit. Service is excellent and we have been more than satisfied with
everything else we have ever ordered from e-trailer.
