Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a look at this GSI Outdoors Halulite 1.8 liter Boiler. You can see it comes in this nice storage sack that you can just open it up and remove it. Now, this boiler is very simple, efficient, incredibly strong, uses a hard anodize shell, which will distribute heat evenly. The shell is designed to withstand scratches, abrasion, and even burn circles.
It is supremely lightweight Halulite which is an alloy that will also conduct heat better and more evenly than titanium. It allows it to heat water faster than other types of boilers. You can see the handle right up here. You just squeeze it together, you can flip it down and the handle locks into place. You can use it while boiling, and then again, you can fold it when you're ready to store it. Just push in together and then raise it up and it's locks into place, holds the lid in place, also.
Has a nice lid on here, little handle with the rubber tab, so you don't burn yourself. On the inside, it's going to be hard to see. I can show you on the outside right here. It'll give you measurement guide. It's etched into the boiler for convenience, does show milliliters and ounces.
If you look at it on the inside, it'll show you how much it goes all the way up to 48 ounces, almost to the very top.Now this does work well with alpinists, the backpackers and the long distance bike tours. It's ultralight without the sacrifices and it does include the boiler, the lid, and the nice mesh storage sack.A few dimensions on this, the lid on there, the diameter of it is going to be right at 5 3/4". Overall height on it is about 5 5/8" tall. The weight of it is only about 11 ounces, very lightweight. One note on this, this is not for use in microwave ovens, conventional ovens or open campfires. But again, you take your lid off, put your lid back on there.
When you're ready to store it, again, just squeeze together the handle. That'll let it rotate up and lock it into place. Get your storage sack, stick it into your storage sack and then pull the strings together and lock it down into place. You're all ready to go.That should do it for the review on the GSI Outdoors Halulite 1.8 liter Boiler.
