Ryan: How's it going Ryan here at etrailer.com, today on our 2019 Chevrolet Colorado, we're going to be taking a look at, and showing you how to install, the PTC Custom Fit Cabin Air Filter. Not a lot of people know just how easy it is to replace your Cabin air filter, and it's really beneficial to do that from time to time. And that's because it's going to allow your HVAC system to blow freely and not have any restrictions.This is whenever they get really dirty, the air isn't going to blow nearly as hard as if it we're clean, and, that filter catches all those allergens and dirt and dust. So that prevents it from coming inside of the vehicle, and bothering your allergies and getting everything dusty. Overall, just a good thing to do every now and again.Just to give you guys a quick comparison, here on the left, we have the factory Cabin air filter and on the right, we have the PTC and as you can see, they're pretty much identical.And even with this being pretty much a brand new pickup truck, you can see this factory one is already starting to catch some dirt and dust and things of that nature.So that's the type of thing set, our cabin air filters are going to prevent from entering your HVAC system. To begin our installation, we're going to be working here behind our glove box over on the passenger side.We'll start by opening it up.

If you have anything inside, go ahead and remove it. And if you come over here to the side closest to the passenger side door, there's going to be the clip here with the string on it, you need to take that off. So you grab it, and kind of pull down on it, pop it down.Then you can pull it out. If you let go, it will kind of just retract back inside.Now each side, we're going to have some pieces here. That's going to be holding the glove box from coming down, and to get the glove box drop down, we're going to apply pressure with our hands on both sides, kind of just, try to work those out of there.Once you get them out, like little blocks will drop down out of the way, and now we can get to our Cabin air filter.

Now, if you look right here, this is a cover that our filter sits behind.So to take this off, we're going to have some clips on each side and kind of push those in.You're able to kind of work that cover out just set it off to the side. Now, before you take your old one out, it should be labeled which way the airflow needs to go, so just keep that in mind.In our case, the arrows are pointing downward, You can just grab it, pull it out. And here's a better look at that air flow arrow I was telling you about. Now we can take our new filter, slide it in, then you just take your cover, and pop that back in place.Now to get everything back together before you actually push your glove box back in position. You want to make sure to grab the string with the clip on it, pull it out as far as you can, and kind of hold it off to the side in that glove box, pushed back into place.

And now we can just put our clip, right back on, after that you're good to go.And that'll finish up our look at and our installation of the PTC custom fit cabin air filter on our 2019 Chevrolet Colorado..
